Jack's moving on caffeine and adrenaline. It's a surprise he hasn't crashed yet. He's moving through the crowd of doctors, nurses, residents and patients. He pauses at the center area, putting down his tablet as he looks up at the board with a neutral face. He lowers his eyes to look at Dana as she mumbles something. He notices she looks flushed and sweaty.

"Dana?" He asks, stepping toward her quickly. His arms shoot out to catch her as she faints. He lowers her to the floor, slowly as he calls for help. He puts a hand on her cheek and says her name, louder this time, trying to get her to wake up. "Dana! C'mon wake up." He stands with her with help from Mateo, some of the residents and Robby.

The group of them carry her to a bed, laying her down before hooking her up to some of the machines. Jack's by her side, holding her hand, trying to help but also trying to stay out of the way,

eyes that had been fixed on the bottle in front of her slowly lifted –– lids heavy, both with tiredness and the ache that sat with her following the events of the day. "you could have been killed." erin's voice was hoarse, a result of the alcohol she'd consumed and the shouting she'd done. being held by the very criminals that they had been hunting, shouting for jay the moment she'd known he was there, fighting for herself, had all taken a toll on the detective. enough that voight had put her on leave for the coming days.

her hand reached carefully for his, only giving it a quick gentle squeeze, because despite her word and worries for his safety, she was grateful for all he'd done. she wasn't sure what would have happened if she'd been kept there any longer. "thank you."

Jack's stressed and has been almost all day, it was clear on his face and in his tone of voice as well as his body language. He runs a hand through his hair before curling his fingers in his curls and gripping them. He has a tablet in his other hand, just staring at it until he hears his name being spoken by Dana.

He lifts his head to direct his attention toward her with a sour look on his face. He wasn't annoyed at her in anyway, he was annoyed in general. The annoyance vanishes and is replaced with a smile and red cheeks as she kisses him.

Jack's ushering people out of the hospital, not noticing Dana wasn't among the ones who were escaping until the last person made it out of the hospital until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turns to face the owner of the hand and he frowns a bit at her. "You need to get go-" He starts, stopping when he feels a hand on his cheek.

He instinctively leans into her hand but then he's being shoved out the door before he can say anything to her. "Dana!" He shouts as the emergency door slams shut before his eyes. "Dana!" He shouts, pounding his fist on the door.

Jack had stepped out of the room to check on his patient's tests, once he gets the tests results, he steps back into the room, head down and eyes looking at the tablet in his hands. "Okay so..." He trails off when he sees the toddler but not mom. "Where's your mommy?" Jack asks, the toddler shrugs as he kicks his feet back and forth as he sits on the edge of the bed.

"Shit." Jack whispers, poking his head out the room, looking back and forth quickly. Jack turns around, panic slowly building as he looks at the toddler. He can handle kids well, but he's not sure how well he'd handle a crying kid and as if right on cue the kid starts crying and reaching for Jack once he realizes his mom isn't coming back.

Jack hurries over to the boy and picks him up, gently. He holds him close to his chest and the boy quiets down, resting his head on Jack's shoulder. Jack rubs the boy's back and walks out of the room, looking for help. He spots Robby and motions for him to come here with his head.

"Can you take him? I got to get back to work." Jack whispers, letting Robby reach for the kid. Once Robby takes the boy, the toddler starts to scream bloody murder. Jack flinches and hurriedly takes the kid back who then stops screaming. "I'll go find Dana."

Jack turns on his heels and starts for the nurse's station, looking like a lost puppy with a child in his arms. "Dana?"
