I saw this classic Archie Comics panel and immediately thought of my pookie. I just had to redraw it as my yumeship! There’s something about that vintage, clean-line comic style that makes So'Leena and Pab feel like a timeless couple from a 1950s Holonet show.
It’s definitely one of my favorite things I’ve drawn of them lately.
They’re going to the stars for real!
I just signed up So'Leena and Pab’s names to be included on the SD card flying inside NASA’s Orion spacecraft for the Artemis II mission. In 2026, their names will actually travel around the far side of the Moon!
It feels so fitting for them to have a little piece of their legacy out there in the real galaxy. Knowing their names will be part of this 10-day journey makes my heart so full. From a galaxy far, far away to a real-life NASA mission, they really were always meant for the stars. Also, the sign-up is open till Jan. 21: go.nasa.gov/artemisnames
I have been leaning into the Art Nouveau style so much lately, and I just had to draw Pab (my pookie!!) in this aesthetic.
I feel like it just fits him so well, since he’s the sun to So’Leena’s moon. I’m really happy with how the framing turned out, it feels like a classic masterpiece of my favorite Jedi.
