He turned to look back upon the apartment he had called home for so many months. The memories, both good and bad, where there in his mind as he looked fondly at the two room apartment. He had first moved in with Kyungsoo there. They had grew to be close friends in those white walls. many a nights they had stayed up, watching tv or studying. More often they had stayed up late playing mmos but, who could blame them. Two weird kids who had powers normal people couldn't understand? They just wanted to feel normal, even for a little bit. A small smile came to his lips as he regarded the boy with the dark humor and twisted past. Jongdae have never gotten around to asking about it either.
He shook his head and sighed, lifting up his bag and walking down the steps. He waved to the neighbors as he took the last of his boxes of things down the steps. The lease was up, he really had no choice but to leave. He couldn't afford to keep living there. He only hoped that Kyungsoo's ghost didn't reappear after he left.
He went down the steps slowly, feeling of nostalgia and bittersweet regret. He looked back over his shoulder at the apartment one last time, sighing heavily. He could see Minseok coming to the door like he used to and walking in. He remembered the first time he and Minseok had made love, almost ruining Kyungsoo's couch if Jongdae hadn't remembered that his necromancer friend could have walked right in. Minseok had been his first in many aspects, and as much as it pained him to think of it, he knew he wouldn't be his last.
The heavy sigh escaped him as he slid off the last step and took his first step into a new life.
Putting the last two bags into the mover van, he looked up at the sun, trying ti guess the time. He wondered in he could just spare a few more- A loud honk from the driver of the van shook him from his stupor, having him call out to the man before closing the trunk and getting into the front seat of the van. He stared out the window as they drove in silence. It didn't take long for the driver to turn on the radio. Jongdae didn't like the music but hey, it was something. The noise filled his ears so he could think more.
He was shocked to be shook awake as the driver grunted and poked him. Jongdae looked around, seeing the city darker now and the surroundings completely different. He opened the door and slipped out, stretching the sleep out of his limbs. His hand fallen asleep holding his head up so he had to roll his wrist as he walked to the door. He pulled out his phone and called his new room mate.
"Argent? I'm here. Buzz me up."
