highlights from the past three days
thu: checked out some cool sculptures (above) and architecture in seligenstadt (more pics coming soon).
fri: got my hand shit on by a goose while turning the page of a borrowed book (it was, ironically, a shitty book lol). apparently, reading at the beach is more dangerous than i previously thought...
sat: went on a 3.5 hr bike ride through the woods at midday :) :) needless to say, i was sweating uncontrollably rip. at least a butterfly landed on me during a water break. don't they say that's good luck?

Seligenstadt. Our last minute home for Christmas.
Two days before setting off to spend 2.5 months abroad, I still hadn’t figured out where I’d sleep once I arrived.
The doubts started settling in. I didn’t know why I was travelling in the first place. I had not fixed plans, I didn’t know how I’d earn money during my time abroad (or once I’m back home for that matter).
But then this little town showed up on AirBnb and I spent a lovely quiet Christmas with my brother out there. Got to watch the lighting up of the tree in the main square with live music and plenty of mulled wine.
The doubts withered and now I am back in Germany, bundled in love and excitement, trying to figure out my next steps.

Salad to go in Germany
Spring is coming!
Can you feel it? The slightly warmer temperatures when you leave the house in the morning? The birds chirping in the trees around you on your way to school or work? The sunsets that seem to take place a bit later every day? Can you feel Spring coming? Well, I can! Not only is the sun showing up more often than it used to, but my mood seems to get better as well for no apparant reason (which is unusual since exams are coming). But actually, there is a reason. And the reason is called Spring.
We recently walked though the the monastery garden in Seligenstadt and enjoyed some doughnuts withraspberry jam to warm up again. We also went to a fleamarket that seemed like a flop at first, but then everyone found something to buy for low prices and it saved the day. On our way back home, the sun joined us and gave us some energy for the upcoming week. Can I have more days like these, please?
Also it was super hard to glue these flowers in.. my hands were a sticky mess afterwards, but it was worth it.
