is replacing the door knob a possibility?

Unfortunately not -- door hardware is regulated by the building because they want the locks to be uniform, since they have to do maintenance/supply keys/etc for them. It’s not a huge deal, I'll probably do what I’ve done at the old place -- hang a tasteful holiday-neutral wreath on the front door and tape a spare key to the back.

Also, there’s no charge for lockout during office hours -- if you lock yourself out between 8am and 6pm you can get a spare key from the office for free. Any other time it’s $100 which given you’re having to get someone out of their home to come let you in, seems fair.

LOL! It’s not actually pink, thank god, that’s the lighting. The green wall faces west, as do my windows, so in the afternoon the lighting in the room is pink-tinted from the sunset. It’s not super noticeable in person but when photographing white paint, it does show up pink.

It looks like they painted (several) layers of latex over oil. The oil surface leeches over time and latex can't stick to it. UGH. I dunno if a 'quick fix' is gonna work in the long term Sam.

Possibly not -- I think they did the same thing on the walls, which is why that one chunk of paint tore out -- but it’s livable, for now. Probably when I’m ready to sell (hopefully not for many, many years) I will have professionals come in and strip the whole condo and repaint it. I wanted to strip the red, but in the end I decided I didn’t have the time/energy, not to mention the skill, to strip the paint first.

Hardware stores have a circuit tester that plugs in to your outlet to let you know if it's been hooked up correctly...might be something you want to check on (your home inspector might have done this already idk)

Yeah, my inspector checked all the outlets (once the sellers TURNED THE POWER BACK ON) but thank you for thinking of me, not everyone gets the chance to check those!

that dude is terrible and terrible at his job and he should feel bad...is there a place to complain about him like mall management?

idk if this will matter but I called the corporate office and told them the address of the mall and which shift this happened on and said that they need to reevaluate how they train their salespeople lol

A rolling Roadblock. Something must of happened further up the road and instead of having traffic stopped and stacked, they do the rolling and other people do a quick clean up

So if spaghettio dip/avocado pie is the lowest rung of Sam's Adventures in Fooding and ham banana is middling, what does the rest of your scale look like? Have you discovered anything surprisingly delicious so far?

THE LENTIL COOKIES. They are a paragon of deliciousness, and are made primarily with lentil puree. They are one of the few “this looks like it will be terrible” recipes that has really shocked me. I make them all the time -- I made a batch this past weekend, actually.

They’re especially nice because you can stir in basically anything -- this last time, instead of dried fruit and chocolate chips, I stirred in toffee chips and chopped walnuts. Still delicious!

Will do! I've never had a problem with them before like that at all-- it seems to be entirely down right now, not just not sending stories. READABLITY!!!!! (shakes fist at sky)

People probably find it hard to imagine now, but Harvee Regina Specter has been the victim of sexual harassment in the past.  The let-me-fuck-you kind, the smack-your-ass get-back-in-the-kitchen kind, what's-a-pretty-thing-like-you-gonna-do kind which was usually followed by the ballbuster-bitch-dyke-frigidicequeen-die-an-old-maid routine.

Nobody dares with any of them anymore to her face, nobody that knows her reputation and knows what she'll do if they deserve it, but Harvee imagines just about all of it gets said behind her back, still.  Especially now that she and Jessica are name partners - name partnership, especially in corporate law, is still an old boys' club and they're bitter as fuck.

This thing Mike won't stop doing though?  She wouldn't put it in the same category.  It's not unwanted, exactly, and if she chose to, she could crush Mike like a little bug and he'd beg forgiveness.  Problem is, she doesn't want to.  And as a result, it's fucking torture.

"You don't understand," Mike slurs into the phone, "how bad I want it.  Like, I'll give you ref'rences and everything, I'm really good and I'll go down for just forever, especially with you, Jesus, I'd live with my face between your thighs if you'd just let me."

Harvee lays her head back on the sofa and breathes.  This is the fifty-third chorus of drunken 'how hard I'd go down on Harvee Specter' in the last six months.   At this point, she's seriously considering mounting his face in the middle of the bullpen in broad daylight.  Especially once he starts in on....

"And oh God, your heels - you have to leave them on so they dig into my back, okay?  You could hurt me if you wanted to.  Do you like that?  I never thought I did, but I think about you smacking me in the face sometimes and it's...."  There's a whining noise on Mike's end of the phone.

Funny thing is, she's 99% sure Mike doesn't touch himself during these phone calls.  Maybe a heel-of-the-hand-mashed-against-his-dick kind of thing but not jerking off.  Maybe he thinks it's more disrespectful than completely unsolicited phone sex?  Who knows.  Harvee long ago lost such compunctions.  Her hand is already down her pants, frigging herself off.

"I know it sounds like bragging but my dick is big.  Like, I'm not making that up, I wouldn't lie to you, Harvee, I promise.  It's just, it is.  Not like...donkey dick big but apparently just the right size."  Unaccountably, Mike giggles, and Harvee has to bite her lip to keep from smiling.  He mutters something like Goldilocks.  "So, you know, I could...I know what to do with it too.  Or you could fuck me!  Not like...I mean yeah, you could be on top - Jesus, that would be so hot - you could fuck me like that, but I mean if you wanted...with a strap-on, sometimes I think about you...fucking me that way and it gets me off every time."

Christ, this kid.  She blocks out whatever else he's saying and gets both hands inside her sweats, so she can fuck herself and play with her clit while she thinks about fucking him.  About Mike sweaty and fucked-out on her dick, fucking him limp then rolling him over and riding his face.  She bites her lip and holds her breath as she comes so he won't know she's getting off thinking about him.

It would suck for him to die of aneurysm before she can take him.

"Mike," she interrupts once her breathing has calmed down, "Shut up and listen."  She actually hears his teeth click together, and she smiles.  "Get a pen and paper, because I'm only saying this once and you'll want to remember this in the morning.  My place, tomorrow at 7."

There's a moment of silence on the other end.  "Wait, serious?"

"I told you, I'm not saying it again.  You're either here or you're not."

She can hear Mike say, "Wait, Harvee - " as she hangs up.  She stretches and smiles.

IT'S SO GOOD. AND SMART. AND SARCASTIC AND RESPECTFUL AND GREAT.
