ok so.... correct me if I'm wrong about anything....but I think Silent Salt is selfish.....I like Silent Salt I do! But I'm not sure what he's planning? I am really scared to post this www...
He preaches Solidarity but doesn't practice it at all, maybe only with his knights, but he kept Silence with the Emissaries [from what we know] and the cookies of Kala Namak. He was the first one to fall imo.
His Silence is what made the other Virtues fall; did he assume the others had everything figured out on their own? Did he ever check with them? It seems to me that he was too busy with his knights and "protecting" those of Kala Namak - Which every time we saw them they seemed to still be sick, weak and poor - to even want to see how his fellow Virtues might have been doing? Not to say he is solely at fault, the cookies surrounding Fount of Knowledge asking him for answers that do not really matter, not following said answers properly and painting him as a liar. Fount not really having anyone who COULD understand him at the time, maybe the other Virtues did not care about what Fount had to go though? Sugar of Happiness seeing her cookies wishing to try and pursue their happiness through passion but having to see them crumble and come back hurt each time? Falling to the call of Sloth was the only way she knew how to protect all those she loved. Maybe the Virtues thought she may have been overreacting without truly calming her? Herald of Change watching over and over civilizations he had blessed to grow, fall and crumble in the same ways, watching this cycle happen over and over slowly draining him of the passion he once held and falling into a depression until the thoughts of "I'll destroy it myself" took over? Maybe the Virtues thought he had the easier time? Mystic Flour struggling to grant the wishes of so many cookies, she decides that she should look inward in a way to help more; so wraps herself in a cocoon, but greedy cookies [who may or may not have been told by the falling Fount] thinking she is keeping treasures all to herself, killing her Haetae protectors while Cloud Haetae hides in fear. Maybe the Virtues had forgotten her woes?
We know more about what happened to White Lily in the Ultimate Dough and how she was mixed with other cookies who were wishing for it to not end this way, re-baked into Dark Enchantress with the hopes and anger of these cookies' screams, but when she met Silent Salt he assumed he knew everything about her and her fall to "Evil". He assumed she was the same as the Beasts [which he inadvertently created] and tortures her with visions of Dark Enchantress; burns her alive and forces his views onto her.
With the newest part of BY-14 it feels like - is this part of White Lily's plan? Did she tell Silent Salt to hold the beasts in place so Dark Enchantress could do this? Or is he doing this because he's doing what he thinks is right again? Is he being selfish like this on purpose or is this White Lily's goal..? Forcing the Beasts into their own minds? What is he trying to do? Is he buying time for White Lily? That stab into Shadow Milk seemed really personal... I guess we can only see in BY-15.......
and again if I got anything wrong tell me but don't yell :`^) I'm typing most of this from memory........... anyway I'll just get back to making pictures www...
