ok so 2 things were running through my mind simultaneously when i read this reply:
1. i had forgotten that i had added the bit about the CO2 so i was SO confused as to what soda making had to do with our program coordinator

Not sure if this is helpful or annoying—or if I’m missing something, but... I feel like keeping the original/wrong mm measurement leads to a loss of sig fig. To my mind, I would just convert 568 pixels to mm using dimensional analysis with the correct mm/pixel ratio. (568 pixels)(1mm/1322 pixels). I arrived at a similar answer, 0.42965...—> 0.430
actually. that’s a pretty good point!! originally the program itself (i use imagej) would do the pixel to mm conversion for me and spit out a mm value. and that mm value would have some number of decimal places (that i can’t remember right now) so i’ll have to check that and see to it that i keep the same sig figs in my conversions. thanks for bringing this up!!

If you went to college, does your major match your career/current job?
My current job, no -- I’m back in school for a second B.A., so I’m working sort of studenty jobs. But it did, for quite a long time. My original B.A. was in English, and for years I worked in communications-type work (editor, copywriter, that sort of thing). Eventually I drifted over to the graphic design part of communication work, which is now becoming a new B.A. in Art.
How many places (towns, states, countries) have you lived in?
Hmm. Not tons, really. I was born in California, grew up partly in the Washington DC area then in Eastern Pennsylvania and have lived the last couple decades in Colorado. So ... five states.

That IS a lot. I definitely understand your stress. Lol But also, congrats in general are in order! Wishing you the best navigating it all...and like he other commenter said, I think family members usually tend to come around with time (hopefully sooner rather than later)

and yeah, the families are civil around each other. that’s not really the problem. it’s just trying to balance all their wants and needs that gets tricky, esp when some of them are total opposites (ie. no alcohol vs yes alcohol)
