Acer sempervirens (Cretan maple) native to southern Greece and Turkey and is one of the most drought-tolerant species in the genus, occurring on dry, sunny hillsides. The semi-evergreen leaves are variably being unlobed or three-lobed. Here the tree is showing some very late autumn/winter colour as it responds to the cold.
