I feel like I wouldn't dread/be as nervous about actually writing my research paper for my seminar had my previous experience in methods not completely ruined my self-esteem with writing research papers. Because I know deep down I'm a pretty solid psych-paper-writer. I just felt like my effort didn't matter in that class, when I know it definitely has in others? I don't know.

It’s incredible annoying when you’re doing a history project regarding something your family is intimately familiar with, but you can’t find textual resources that back up what they tell you.

I can’t just write down all the stories and present it to the class and say, “Here’s my project.” There’s bias.

But there’s also bias in all the texts about the topic. It was so covered up, and the people who experienced it haven’t made major statements or written books unless they were politicians who survived it.

Ultimately it comes down to inadequate teaching of the material for the very reason that the event itself has shut down all means to educate people about the horrors that occurred. And the best resources available don’t count as credible.
