I hope that this Christmas you receive everything you want and more. I hope that the world that you live in is as beautiful as mine. I hope that you are surrounded only by love, by people that cherish you and are good to you and who you cherish and are good to as well. I hope that you wake up to miracles tomorrow and I hope that you smile full with that golden boy smile that I will always adore.

It is a little late here and so, so cold, but the people I love are here, some resting in my house with me right now and some making their way to me. The night is so sweetly soft and like always, I will wish you goodnight and sleep well.

It's not all bad.

This world is so infinitely beautiful, the years after us have been rich and devastating, aching yet full. I found new friendships, strengthened old ones and left some behind as we grew older and wiser. I am smarter than I was years ago, kinder and more patient and more beautiful than I could ever imagine.

My hair is longer now, still soft as silk and sometimes when I am in the deepest sleep I feel like you are there in bed beside me, running your fingers through my hair like you loved to do when we were together.

I have seen places that I wish I could have seen with you. I have experienced some things that I wish you could have experienced with me, but that makes those moments that much sweeter, doesn't it?

The year before this one I traveled to three different countries for two months with a man that I thought I was going to marry. This year I am warm and alone in my bed in my gorgeous home in my gorgeous city deeply in love with my gorgeous life.

Do not ever think that you will need to worry about me, my love.

Life is beautiful because you and I are in it, no matter where we are and I hope that wherever you are, that your life is just as gorgeous.
