This may be the most ridiculous record in my collection. Senator Sam Ervin (D-NC) was an ardent supporter of segregation, but was nevertheless a liberal hero because of his support for other civil rights, and his role in the Watergate hearings. This record was released in 1973, shortly before he retired, and features him sharing banal anecdotes and reciting the lyrics of well-known songs.
