Okay, but really, holiness/darkness is such an interesting ship dynamic for me, specifically in writing a muse who is such an odd combination of both almost at odds with each other. They were raised in a coven of witches (traditionally considered 'dark' in the Christian world) but was "betrayed" by the dark forces they allegedly serve (Carmilla/vampires) when that coven was put to the pyre with Sypha being the only survivor. Then, they're taken in by a Church that's supposed to hate their kind, and become a monster hunter against the forces of Hell/Dracula/darkness for most of their life, defeat a great evil... But what if that holy monk embraced the darkness instead?
