It was bittersweet because she looked so cute but learning what he did with their shared time together, it was just a hindrance to Mei. Limiting her from actually being able to do all the things she wanted to do at her old pace when she had been human.Junkenstein sat the brew down to take off Mei’s hat and set it aside. Pale lips just barely touching her forehead as she slept. Maybe some day when he would hug her she might be able to return it with full use of her arms. Maybe they could walk together hand in hand under the light of the full moon, neither of them hoping or skipping unless they actually wanted to.Of course, even if she did not feel the same now or ever, it was still going to be worth it once he figured this all out. He was going to help her get her mobility back and even if she were to take off the same night he did, it would be well worth it just to see her cute lil’ fanged smile.

I believe most likely he would find the darker arts more interesting. After all, anything that’s forbidden surely has a reason and a potential to be useful in some sort of way that everyone else is just overlooking.
But thinking more on this I really enjoy the idea of him actually doing trade on the magical black market. Seeking out and selling key components that are illegal or severely unethical to become a nercomancer. The persona he displays something more like a D&D Cleric of sorts with Alchemist training but really he is just making godawful deals and putting his fingers into all the pots so to speak.
📖+ apocalypse au
//There are so many possible types of apocalypses and yet my mind still jumps to Zombies. I’ve actually discussed some of a potential Zombie Apocalypse AU where Doc is a college professor teaching engineering and biology. His passion for teaching being more or less crushed over the years as he becomes the one most eager to leave his classes as his students went in just unprepared, unwilling to learn, or just weren’t cut out for his courses. As a teacher he doesn’t allow anyone to make up extra credit and he looks incredibly done at all times. Doc is one of the least liked teachers by students and peers though there is one professor that still treats him with kindness and gives him meals made by her brother. Because of her kindness, even though he surely doesn’t deserve it, Doc warmed up to her and thinks of her as a peer and friend. Aihe also never seemed upset that Doc would just going into the teachers lounge and take the entire pot of coffee and leave. There is also one student that pesters him on his smoke breaks for extra credit and at first Doc was unimpressed by this only to realize he does not recognize the student. It then becomes apparent that he doesn’t even attend his classes but he is asking for extra credit and ways to ‘raise his grades’ and it is confusing but… endearing.
That being the jest of the background to his life before the outbreak.During the start of the outbreak Doc is receiving a summons that he is needed immediately to actually study and create a cure for it but it’s spreading fast. Things are spiraling out of control. The world is being thrown into chaos and he is morbidly fascinated, has to get to to a certain place, and create a cure along the way or at least have ideas for it before he can have access to components needed.Naturally he will lose a limb along the way but perhaps the most devastating blow is before that when he most likely is being chased down with Aihe. I’m not sure why but I feel they would be trying to help the other push on ahead, tripping over on another and being just a terrible mess when ultimately one is caught and yanked back. Doc horrified as his hand is empty and turns back to see what was probably his only real friend at the time being pulled into a group of zombies and screaming. He can save her. He has to try! She’s screaming and it’s blood chilling. He can’t just let this happen! …At least that is what comes to mind for Doc for an Apocalypse AU.
📖 demon doc au?

Either way, the first thing Mun does when toying with a demon is label them with a vice that generally encompasses that character. With Doc, three out of seven deadly sins jump to mind and they are Gluttony, Wrath, and Pride.
A common misconception with Gluttony is that is is associated with food. It can be but for Doc it would be his hunger for knowledge. Pushing boundaries and never being fully satisfied. He craves more. More tests. More answers. More variables.
Wrath I feel is obvious because of turn against Reinhardt. Doc loathes being underappreciated, undervalued, underestimated, overlooked, etc. These things push him to lash out in an extreme fashion instead of just talking it out and easing his pain. If he is forced to suffer then he will make those who did him dirty suffer twice as much.
Pride however is the vice I will choose for Doc. Technically all vices and virtues overlap a little but I feel he embodies pride the best of the three. Doc is a very proud person. He finds everything he does to be a marvel to some degree and lavishes in the praise it provides. He believes himself to be superior in many ways and to keep that title he will keep on educating himself and strike down anyone who challenges him.
But Mun does not believe in pure good and pure evil. So every demon has a virtue as well. (Besides, if we follow the Bible we learn demons are just angels who fell. And angels were made to be perfect and how can something be perfect and flawed?) Doc’s virtue would be Patience. He works hard for his goals which makes him seem like he leans towards Diligence but he is patient. He will wait for the answers but if he feels they will never come or someone is intentionally being difficult, he will start to lash out.
Forgive me for all that rambling and background information.
Doc would be the sort of demon to parade about as a human and encourage them to push the limitation to things. He would especially encourage those in scientific fields to do increasingly more unethical experiments and human trials. After all, the angels who fell were the ones that refused to praise humans and hated them. It’s annoying when people think the remaining angels in heaven hate humans when they were the ones cast into hell. This is a weird pet peeve of Mun’s but sure. Some up there have to dislike them as Mun believes in the exception rule.
Quick on his feet, Doc parades about as a scientist and generally messes with those who have power or the ability to sate his own curiosity. He is also known to trail the more average joe and encourage them to follow their impulsive thoughts. His kill count count and damnation record is quite high for a demon as small as him. Naturally he is proud of that.
Doc’s true form would be something akin to Fallen Junkrat’s but more like a living shadow mass. A nebula of black entangled with neon blue and white that is constantly shifting and crackles like electricity under his seemingly translucent skin. To kill him you would have to extinguish his essence which is a neon acidic green mass somewhere within his form commonly placed about where a human heart would be.
You can make a pact with him like you can any demon but I believe him to be a higher ranked one, in spite of his appearance. Butch Hog would be more fitting to what I suspect a high ranking demon to be and what people think of opposed to him but Doc can be swayed into deals. He can be summoned by ancient rites and he will fuck with your head to make it seem like you have power over him but unless you shake his hand and stated your terms clearly, he will actually own you.

//At first I thought this would be a simple “Junkenstein won!” AU but I see it differently now. He was born into royalty and raised to be prim and proper but Jamison just... Can not rid himself the idea that this is not quite the life he wants. He was made for something more- but how do you tell others you want to be more than a king without them thinking you want to be a damn god? You can’t really.
Yearning for more, King Jamison Junkenstein (I am keeping his last name dammit) goes about life as he is expected to until he hears talk of someone who has great promise in various scientific fields and thus summons them to meet him.
Unlike Lord Reinhardt from Junkenstein’s main world, King Junkenstein is enthralled! He loves this. He wants more. He needs to understand this and demands more. More, more, more!
It’s this unyielding pressure for more that has the scientist snap. Making them feel like nothing they do is ever enough and they are exhausted. They need rest. They need more time to get accurate results. Sure it was nice in the beginning that the King took interest and was funding their research but he never stops pressuring and craving even more that they just feel like they are being treated as a windup doll, expected to preform at Junkenstein’s every whim, and wonder if he even sees or understands that these sort of things need time. Time for prepping, time to produce results, time to retest, time to REST.
The reason I keep saying they/them for the scientist is because I am torn on who it could be. Moira would be a delightful choice and allow for Moircy if Angela is still the Witch but if Angela were the scientist then she could be offered help by Banshee Moira. This would be fun and a little bit of an added twist.
Though who would be their monster? Maybe Slasher 76.
However having the scientist be Winston (The human) would be delightful because then he could create Hammond who would be an impish monstrosity based around his scarecrow design!
King Junkenstein’s Wanderers would most likely be Roadhog, Doomfist,
Zarya, and Lúcio. Roadhog really being a possible love interest of his but in secret and rising up to the call- without being ordered to. He’s just ready to bash in anyone’s skull for messing with Jamie.
But uh, this is just what came to mind at least. ^.^;;
10. Who are you most envious of—real or fictional—and why?
Number asks from here Junkenstein finds himself to be one of the most vastly brilliant people in mankind. It’s arrogant really but from his time spent around those of his past there isn’t a whole lot to suggest otherwise. “...Dandy.” Another Junkenstein from another world. “He might not have won either but he did so much better than I.” His talents also were more wide spread and while the other played mentally unwell to get out of trouble at times it was all an act. The man was brilliant but the thing he envied most was that he was able to protect and save his creation.
