hi jasmine! i hope this is an ok ask to send you—i have been wondering lately if i have bipolar or a similar manic/depressive disorder. i seem to fit a lot of the symptoms but i’m not sure if i’m just being overly paranoid or anxious. was it easy for you to tell something was wrong at first? also completely unrelated but i love your writing! it always inspires me
Yes of course! Sorry this is kinda late but hm….so I’ve had bipolar since I was 16 & pretty shockingly when I would have these manic episodes back then (I spent one summer believing I was gonna win a Grammy award and would rewrite my speech multiple times a week etc) I thought they were normal, I couldn’t see the larger picture until later at 18 when things got more pressing + obvious. I had an inkling which was later confirmed by my dr. I think that it’s easy to spiral into convincing urself it’s one diagnosis when it can be something else but I also think that u as the patient know best in terms of how u feel. So my advice would be to write down symptoms & talk with a doctor!
Hope you had a lovely day and don't forget to smile, you are loved x
You are a lovely human, and I hope you have an amazing day too!! Thank you so much xx
