“...is a planet of death.” -Senkrads upon seeing Argus for the first time.

“It's 4 in the morning, is everything ok?”
Reithie didn't look up from the camp fire as she responded. "Yeah, everything is okay."
She had taken first watch in her little group, she had taken first watch every time they had set up camp. Reithie had a problem sleeping lately, for reasons she was keeping bottled up inside.
She needed to keep those hidden deep down, there was no room for those kind of feelings right now.
She had only known the paladin since they decided to group up together. Her and a few other Alliance soldiers that got separated from the rest of the group, after the Dark Portal was destroyed, thought it was best if they stuck together until they came to an Alliance camp.
The silence that permeated the air suggested that the conversation wasn't over yet, the paladin was itching to ask her more. "Look, I'll just continue with the watch, you should get some rest. "
"You need some rest too. I've been watching you, you haven't slept in two days." Senkrads pointed out, sitting up from his sleeping bag. He watched the hunteress for a moment, the way she sat, how her eyes drooped. It was a miracle that she hadn't dropped into unconsciousness right then and there.
"Sleep, I'll take the last watch." he said it in a reassuring tone, but Reithie got the impression that she didn't have much of a choice in the matter.
She knew how persuasive paladins could be.
Admitting defeat, she nodded her head, getting up, and heading over to her sleeping bag. Getting in, she wondered how well she was going to sleep this night, and tried to focus on the better memories.
