The Witcher Show Starters // ACCEPTING ↳ @senringan ( Starrk ) said: ❝ people call you a monster too. ❞
"𝐀𝐍𝐃...?" Still but for the flicker of her eyes to the Primera's lonely form, she questioned him in return, "Does simply naming a monster make it so...?"
They didn't escape her ears, of course, the whispers. They called them Harribel's dogs. Bestias. And perhaps that's what they were to the outside world; to those that would dare lift a blade in opposition of the Tres. They could call it monstrous if they liked. Sung-Sun called it loyalty.
The fabric of her sleeve swayed with the upwards tilt of her chin. "I'd rather live by my own definition."
fuckin’ pussy. @senringan
@senringan asked: 💋 croc?
Odd circumstances led to odd decisions, he supposed. And, oh, this might have been one of his most daring, while simultaneously reckless decisions ever.
There were some benefits to staying on somewhat friendly terms with the former Shichibukai, of course - even though his position would not have been of importance for much longer anyway, Drake did not suppose that mattered, exactly.
Crocodile still had his old contacts, after all, connections that would prove of great interest to the former rear admiral’s superiors...
He doubted the criminal suspected his involvement with the Marine still being an ongoing arrangement; and even if he did, it would have been for the better for Drake to play dumb for the time being - use whatever advantage he might still have. And these were... sparse these days, that was for certain. The effort he put into proving himself as trustworthy enough to the pirate might just turn out to have been worth it, after all...
And on that particular day? It seemed to pay off, indeed.
For once, he had managed to convince the other it would be safe enough to allow him to remain in the space Crocodile deemed his office, even if only for a short while, while the very annoyed pirate focused his attention on some... matters he had to tend to right away.
Fair enough. That carelessness suited Drake just fine. He was about to lean in to begin rummaging through the files - some kind of reports related to Crocodile’s dealings, no doubt - scattered on the heavy wooden desk in the centre of the room, when suddenly a shrill squeak caught his attention.
He stopped, confused as to where the sound might have originated - and as it echoed again, he was able to locate its source right under the desk. And, indeed; following a quick peek underneath the top part of the piece of furniture, the mystery of the squeaking had been unveiled: a tiny creature, a crocodile with a banana-shaped protrusion on its head was staring up at Drake now, with its cold reptilian eyes. A... miniature version of the bananawanis Crocodile was said to have kept as pets once? Or rather, a bananawani baby, perhaps?
Hesitantly, and careful as could be, Drake extended his hand towards the tiny animal; it shrunk back, at first, snapping its teeth at the other (which, frankly, was rather adorable), but with patience and persistence, he was finally able to coax the creature out of its hiding spot.
And once he had brought his fingers up to the top of its head, to apply a couple gentle pets atop the bananawani’s little nose? Oh, they seemed delighted over the attention, soon crawling up to him eagerly, as though demanding more and more of his affection.
Their eagerness managed to bring a gentle smile to the usually stern man’s lips.
“Sweet one, aren’t you?“ he muttered to the little crocodile at his feet, now extending his other hand slowly, in an attempt to pick the little creature up and hold it in his arms.
With an approving squeak, the bananawani seemed to appreciate this particular development.
“Looks like your owner doesn’t give you nearly enough attention.“ Drake muttered, his focus entirely captivated by the tiny creature whose acquaintance he had just made. “Not quite fair of him, now is it?“
The little reptile squeaked in response, clearly in agreement with Drake’s assessment - a chuckle followed the quiet sound.
“You have a point, yes. Certainly.“ he remarked. “Not to worry. I’ve got you.“ he added quietly, before, quite boldly, leaning in to press a little kiss atop the bananawani’s head. They squeaked again, hissed, clearly in delight, wagging their little tail like an overly excited puppy.
Another smile followed at that.
And just this once, it seemed... Drake did not really care whether the former Warlord might return in just a moment, to catch him cradling the miniature reptile in his arms.
Come on, now. Really? After all, who would have been able to keep themselves from swooning, just a little bit, after meeting this precious little guy!
Not even Crocodile could be this heartless, Drake was convinced of it. And he, himself?
Why it might seem as such, often enough, but... he was not as cold and distant as people made him out to be, after all. Not when confronted with an adorable representative of the reptile family, such as this little guy right here.
One simply... had to find a way to get to him, he supposed. Not that anyone would bother.
For the better, too.
First 5 people who send in a “💋” get a kiss from my muse. [ 1/5 ]
@senringan
well, let no one say mic didn’t still enjoy getting up to some mischief every now and again. he got into a lot of trouble when he was younger, and he had (mostly) settled down into a responsible adult and teacher, but he still wanted to get into some trouble every now and again. and he loved a good prank.
it was that time of year, after all ! and he had to keep aizawa on his toes. it was the season for scares and spooky decorations. he’s subtle as he passes by aizawa’s desk, leaning over to squint at his computer screen.
‘ still grading those papers, eh ? ‘ as he leans, he drops a comically large fake spider into aizawa’s coffee cup. he’ll be so surprised as he goes to take a sip !
‘ well, let me know if you need any help ! ‘ with that, he returns to his desk, peering over his screen.... and waiting.
❛ don’t listen to them , you’re not free . ❜ yaga, gojo

He still felt raw, a gnawing sensation upon the sinew and the bones in the gaping wound that had been torn inside of him. It was a pain he hadn’t experienced before, something real that could reach him... and there was nothing that he could do to stop it. How ridiculous. He, gifted and strong beyond one’s wildest dreams, could do nothing to change the course of fate or tourniquet the perpetual bleeding. What was all his power for then? When it really mattered it meant absolutely nothing.
“Oi, Sensei... that’s a bit cruel, isn’t it?” Gojo muses, fixing the older man with an expression that read as tired as he was. For most everyone else the perfect mask of jovial ease would have been employed but with Yaga-sensei there was no need. Besides, he knew everything. How weak he really was; how he had just let him walk away without even attempting to drag him back... Because it would have felt like forcing something to do so and that was the last thing he wanted to do.
“... Maybe I should just kill them all. That’ll solve that problem.” He adds, a sigh falling from his lips as he throws his head back to stare at the sky above them. It’s not an empty thought or threat, certainly it was something he had contemplated especially as of late but then it wouldn’t make him any better than him. That was why he’d dropped his reaching hand.
Tch, how stupid all of this shit was.
“I just have to get strong enough to prove I am.” Gojo concedes, mainly for the peace of mind of his teacher. He didn’t need to worry on whether or not he was going to go on a rampage against the higher up’s. At least not anytime soon. The sky is baby blue between the leaves of the trees overhead, the white clouds softly rolling through and yet it still feels gloomy, oppressive and grey - tinted by the lenses of his glasses. “Then there will be nothing anyone can say to me.”
