Confusing Friends
I hate it when some friends make a big fucking deal about something, or at least seem to be making a big fucking deal about, and then it turns out that they are either A: not letting it bother them; or B: Act as if it never happened in the first place. Exactly how long does it take for someone to realize that the shit they made a big deal out of, or at least seemed to of made I big deal out of it, is actually a pretty damn big deal. I mean I'm not going to say any names but shit come on people, do you really not care if that tumor get's any bigger than it is now? Do you, really not want to make the pain of having your fucking kidneys causing you to bleed through your urinary track, because they produce fucking kidney stone practically everyday or at least damn near close to every painful fucking day? How can you not get angry at the fucking world and try your fucking hardest to fix that shit and make it work the way it's suppose to work? Granted I'm not in those shoes, but would gladly give up a fucking arm, and a leg to help if they would just fucking ask. I mean isn't that what friends are for? I fucking love them. Hell, if possible I'd buy the best doctors to find a cure for these aliments. Again this isn't directed to anyone of my actual friends on here, I'm just posting some pretty serious feeling I have since seeing a post on here that fucking confused the hell out of me.
Irony...or is it?
You ever notice that when people say, "I don't mean to insult you," that it's actually usually, "I don't mean to insult you, but..."? ...which really means, "I don't mean to insult you, but what I'm about to tell you will indeed insult you."
You ever notice how many people say, "I'm sorry, but..."? They say that as if to justify having no apologies at all. "I'm sorry, but...not really." "I'm sorry, but you're wrong." "I'm sorry, but you must accept my stupidity and the fact that I will probably hurt you again." That's not a apology at all.
You ever notice how some well intentioned people still put conditions on their actions, their language, their love? They think they're just being forthright--getting in touch with their honesty. But what they are really doing is rationalizing their bad behavior.
Honesty and civility are not mutually exclusive ideals. One can be frank without being hurtful.
And above all...It's impossible to try to be sincere.
