yall whats absolutely mind boggling about this sensitive content ban is that staff literally created a functioning adult content filter

it blocks adult content! and not pictures of regular old gay people!!!!

they literally created the one piece of code that actually works on this shit website, only put it on mobile, and then made a version of that code that doesn’t work and made it mandatory for all platforms literally who runs tumblr staff and why are they so godfucking dumb

so tumblr helped me to come out. i'd been severely closeted for years & unwilling to admit to myself that i was gay, but joining tumblr (i was 15/16) and seeing how happy people were because they were out, seeing the lgbtq+ positivity posts made me realize it was okay. eventually it made me proud to be out. what i'm trying to say is the "sensitive content" ban is fucking bullshit that's gonna make it harder for kids to be okay with being themselves
