💭💭13 YEARS on and we’re still facing the same (or even worse) #knifecrime & #guncrime that’s stealing our people’s (esp the youths) lives 😪. Something has to change! #RIPCharlotte 🙏🏾🥀 💭💭 Exerpt from my poem ‘Lil Reminder’©️2006 written to commemorate the first anniversary of Charlotte’s passing. “Imagine this: A mother seeing her child on a hospital bed Colour drained from their skin She’s waiting for his chest to rise But there’s no life within What happened to people? Where did respect go? When did love transform? How fast did hate grow? When did I blink? And the world turned cold When was the value of life Replaced by silver and gold ...” .... even less than that now 😪. THE WHOLE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO UNITEDLY PULL TOGETHER. What’s Up With The World Today? ©02/08/2005. I wrote this after the stabbing of an acquaintance/friend and the 7/7 bombings. #OneLoveLondon ❤️#OneLoveManchester ❤️ Words still ring true after almost 12 years! What’s up with the world today? People are living crazily Ignorant to the anguish they cause Victims and their family ... People would rather die than live for the real living God That’s something I can’t get my head around Why on earth would someone choose To bomb up the buses and the underground? ... Innocent people are getting killed What’s the worth, why? Why can’t we rise above the madness? Why are innocent people having to die? God gave us all freewill But some people like to exploit that So, people get vexed with God But that’s how the devil wants us to act ... Everybody needs to calm down God blessed us with tongues as weapons So to live in peace with one another Love and Christ is needed, I reckon?
