The Mood Sweater acts like a mood ring, giving a new way of understanding ourselves and our emotions better and a new way of communicating through our clothing choices.

While some already consider smart phones invasive, Sensoree’s creation “NEUROTiQ” takes gratuitous sharing even further. The design studio recently debuted a new, 3D-printed and hand-knit garment that changes color according to its wearer’s brain state, essentially visualizing his or her moods and thoughts. Are “Mood Sweaters” the New Mood Ring of Fashion???

We all walk around most days trying to cover our mood with an outfit that either suits our mood or covers it up... So the design lab Sensoree wants to know, "Will you wear your heart on your sleeve?"... Here at LTF, we have been pondering this for a few weeks now with mixed emotions. Yes, we are all about Fashion Technology & promoting the Latest & Greatest we can get our hands on!!! So we'd like some feedback on this New Wearable Technology.... If you are experiencing any of the Massive Storms like we are here on the East Coast, would you want this technology to show folks how you really feel on these gloomy days???

If you are anything like The LTF Team, we love to look our best at all times, no matter how awful we feel & what this weather can do to try & dappen our spirits. When you look great, you feel great!!! This leaves us wondering if these Mood Dresses & Shirts could possibly make your day worse since everyone can see your mood. A quick thought, say you are in a meeting with your co-workers & the meeting isn't going as planned... Approach with Caution: Mood Clothing Soon to Be A Reality?

Well, as wearable tech continues to evolve out of the laboratories and into the department stores, designers at San Francisco-based Sensoree have taken the concept once associated with tacky rings and applied to smart apparel.

The GER Mood Sweater detects human emotional patterns through sensors similar to polygraphs worn on the users’ hands. These are then visualized by reflecting different colored LED lights onto the white garment, creating an overall futuristic look.

The sweaters are currently being produced in a limited edition of 100, and the final cost has yet to be decided. Would you rock a mood sweater? We’re not sure we would want to wear our hearts on our sleeves just yet…
