I was looking for some new stim tools and found sensory brushes. It seems like it would be great sensory input for me, but when i went to look into them further just to be sure about it, i found a lot of information about the "proper" way to use them and i think i saw some things saying that it's a big decision to decide to use them and that it can be Bad if you do it wrong but i'm ??? i don't understand, if it's just a sensory tool? Can you please give me any information on this to help me?
From what I’ve found, it sounds like a bunch of pseudoscience nonsense. If you think that a sensory brush would be a good stim tool for you, then get one! There isn’t a “proper” way to use a stim tool but rather ways that work better for some people than for others. Find the ways that work well for you.
