WIP Blurb
For a fairly long while I have been fascinated by specifically sentient object romance. Why? I don't know. Obsessions like these just happen to me ok. Like how a prophet receives heavenly visions.
I remember forever ago in my early teens getting into monster romance fics and such. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Regardless I have never been a normal contemporary romance book girlie. I love me some weird magic shit. So here's a mock up of a blurb I wrote a while ago.
This WIP is a sentient object romance where the MC, Sawyer, falls for her Tattoo Machine. It's crazy but I thought it was to good of an idea to scrap entirely. I'm more or less posting this so I don't give up on this story.
Anyway, here it is!!!
You’ve had a crush on your neighbor since middle school and after years abroad, you’ve moved back into your childhood home and he’s your neighbor again.
One day, you say fuck it and make a move on him. He’s hesitant but gives into the clear chemistry between you. Everything is going amazing… until it isn’t.
You’re on your knees on his kitchen floor trying to get his pants off when you hear it. A low growl. You look up at your neighbor but he doesn’t look growly, he looks annoyed.
“Did…did your penis just growl at me?” I sat back on my heels as my hands fell away from Liam’s hard cock. It jutted out from a bed of trim curls. He was gloriously hard, curving up, pre-cum already beaded at the tip.
It was probably the prettiest penis I had ever seen and, until two seconds ago, I was fully prepared and eager to put it in my mouth. Except, I was fairly fucking certain it had growled at me.
“What? No, that’s insane.” Liam gripped his cock and gave it one slow pump that had my gaze riveted. “It was definitely my stomach.”
Which I might have believed. Except Liam could not lie worth a damn and he was absolutely lying to me. I might have been willing to write it off as horny weirdness from someone who had already told me it had been years since the last time he’d been with a woman. Except, I was pretty sure he had a growling penis, and we really needed to explore that.
“Liam?” I looked up the length of his body to his eyes. They were dark and half-shut as his hand gave another slow pump. “Want to tell me about your growling penis?”
His head fell backward on a curse and he looked up at the ceiling as though it might hold the answers I was demanding. Eventually, he blew out a breath and looked back down at me.
“No, talking about Bane is the very last fucking thing I want to do when your mouth is inches from my bare cock. When you’ve had your hands wrapped around him already and he’s begging for more of it.”
“Your penis has a name?” It wasn’t the weirdest thing I’d ever heard of. One of my exes called his cock the matador, of all fucking things.
“A fucking nuisance, is what he is.” Liam muttered before releasing his cock and propping his hands on his hips. “Might as well say hello.”

Who would have guessed a book about a sentient glory hole would be the book that got the most emotional responses out of people?
