If you had to ship Sentinel with anyone (outside of Optimus) who would you ship him with?

But. Hmmmmm. I do multi-ship him around a lot (tho sentiop is my main because *gestures incomprehensibly*), but if we had to go with like. What I’d have as my big main instead of Sentiop? It would probably be Sentijazz or Locknel/sentilock.
Sentijazz has some very obvious draws and there’s a really fun dynamic there that can go however you’d like, truly. Healthy sweetness? Sentinel trusts Jazz and is willing to listen to his judgments so he’d likely be willing to do better to be a good partner and person. Jazz is also just, a sweetie and definitely seem to listen to what Sentinel is talking about (Sari spitting acid lol). They’d be an elite guard power couple. Toxic yaoi? They have it too! Jazz mentions he tunes out half of what Sentinel says and Sentinel was probably pissed as hell about Jazz running off to Earth -> perfect combo to imagine them developing into some weird codependent mess that never solves their problems, just kicks em down the line. Truly some good stuff.
Locknel is really fun if you want to explore a Sentinel corruption arc or disillusionment arc. Personally I like the idea of Lockers picking him up on some colony bar after his demotion from Magnus and manipulating him into joining him in mercenary work because clearly the Autobots aren’t seeing what they’re tossing out. Are they the healthiest thing ever? Definitely not, but Lockdown makes Sentinel feel appreciated and Sentinel’s protective over those he cares for. They likely butt helms regarding morality (While Sentinel’s code is bent, it’s not broken) but still stay together. (Swindle is their weird third who comes and goes that took Sentinel a bit to come around to.)
I’ll give Starscream x Sentinel and Megatron x Sentinel honorable mentions here as they’re lovely but they mostly just float around my brain as arranged marriage AUs (There’s a really good Megasent arranged marriage fic I ping around in my brain from time to time, its concept is so fun and evil to Sentinel aaaaaaa) and being lowkey kind of mean to my boy :3
