2. shrinking your muse’s favorite shirt in the wash [ x ]
She hums quietly, carrying the big laundry basket down to the laundry room in the building. Hyungseok and Jihye had decided on taking turns when it came to doing laundry, and that was fine with Jihye. She didn’t really mind doing laundry, it was kind of fun for her to get the warm clothes from the dryer and fold them prettily, since she was almost always cold nowadays (and it was nice to have something warm to hug onto while she made her way back upstairs).
Jihye puffs out her cheeks as she sets the basket onto the ground, opening the dryer and carefully lifting the warm clothes from the machine and setting them into the basket. She absentmindedly recognizes who each article of clothing belongs to, until she comes across a certain shirt. There was something wrong with it, and she couldn’t figure it out until she thought for a few moments. Upon realizing what happened, her eyes widen dramatically, lips parting in disbelief.
She quickly gathers the rest of their last load and closes the door to the machine, bolting back upstairs as fast as she could, feeling absolutely terrible. Hyungseok was in the kitchen, working on making lunch for them when Jihye sets the basket on the ground next to the couch, almost on the verge of tears. She takes the shirt and hides it from sight behind her back, slowly making her way into the kitchen, panicking about Hyungseok’s reaction. She had to tell him— It was his favorite shirt, after all!
“U-Uhm.. O-oppa..” Jihye starts off hesitantly, lips trembling just slightly. “I.. S-something bad happened..” And before she could finish, Hyungseok was in front of her, checking all over to see if she was alright. “What happened? Are you okay?” He kept asking these questions over and over again, making sure the delicate female wasn’t hurt in any way. Jihye nods quietly before lightly resting one hand against Hyungseok’s chest to get his attention, the other still hiding the shirt behind her back, looking up into his eyes.
When she tells him, he doesn’t say a word, and that makes her feel even worse. Carefully, she produces the shirt from behind her back, holding it up in front of her to show the size difference. It had went from his perfect size to her perfect size within a day, and Jihye felt incredibly guilty. She opens her mouth again, a jumble of apologies on the tip of her tongue, when Hyunseok starts to laugh. It’s soft and light, and it takes Jihye by total surprise. “Wh-what’s wrong? Wh-why are you l-laughing?” She asks, voice shaking since she had been on the verge of tears just a few moments ago.
“So what if it doesn’t fit me anymore? It looks like it’s now the perfect size for you.. And I’d love to see you in it” He grins and loops his arms around Jihye’s thin waist, hugging her tight. The petite girl is in shock, unable to process his words before she starts to giggle, hiding her face in the curve of his strong shoulder. She should’ve known he’d be so understanding. He always had been.
