I do not know if their quip here is character-accurate, but it is spiritually true. They have their finger on the pulse of the crew, and know when to pay them an extra $400 hazard pay whenever we fight a godzilla.

35. What do they do if they can’t fall asleep?

Steven is really good at sleeping. On the off chance that he can't, he'll read a book or take another shower. If it's super bad, he'll get up and wander the halls like some kind of horrible giant shuffling ghost.

23. Which birthday do they look back on the most fondly?

One Bob barely remembers, which might contribute to the fondness. He turned four out on the farm, in the aftermath of the Anegrave invasion. All he remembers is the feel of sun on his eyelids, a woman's perfume. Curly hair. Pie. His dad's laughter. Being picked up and carried around on Steven's shoulders. Wind across wheat fields and old fences. Bob romanticizes it a fair bit.

I commissioned the marvelous @sephiramy to create an illustration of Ceres, the only-slightly-evil princess in a project I’m working on called The Demon King.

The wonderful, WONDERFUL Amy King aka @sephiramy did these two headshots for me.

The first is a dead-on portrait of Kell, my handsome barbarian chef.  I could not be happier with this picture, which will be my phone wallpaper forever.  He looks so gorgeous and sweet.  A big, soft, rowdy boy, ready to cook you apple fritters and talk about advanced exfoliating techniques in between fights and occasionally dying.  His li’l dimples.  That eyeliner.  I cry.  Seriously, she nailed it, I love this so hard.  I can’t stop looking at it.

The second is Vee, a gift for our newest player.  Vee is a shameless thief! With no social skills! Probably not good at heart but is still 100% loved even though he eats bugs sometimes and has a tendency to stick to the ceiling when distressed.  Has like six enchanted daggers he won’t share with anyone.  Breathes fire now and then.  He's the entire group's weirdo little brother.  Gets lots of piggyback rides from Kell.  We love him!

Seeing these two together like this just makes me wonder . . . who is braiding their hair?  It looks GREAT.

Thanks again to @sephiramy who did a wonderful job with the references I gave her, and really went above and beyond on these.  I highly recommend commissioning Amy for all your character portrait needs.  She’s lovely to work with!  (You may recall the two awesome pictures she did of Ariel, here and here.)
