I am madly in love with your Dark Crystal fanfics! Where do you come up with them, and will we be seeing more?
That’s certainly the plan! I’ve got two commissions in the editing stage and a ton of stuff simmering on the backburner!

Ahhhh tHANKS OP!!! <3 <3 <3
Do you think you could give me the personality, powers and weapon(s) of a Diopside? Thank you so much!!
Hm, going by metaphyiscal websites, Diopside has a lot of associations with mother nature. It encourages wanting to take care of the planet and nature, and encourages connections to the earth. In addition it encourages receptiveness to different ideas and positive outlooks. It also encourages you to listen to your intuition, increases compassion, and teaches trust.
Because of that, I can think of a few possible routes you can go with Diopside’s personality.
The first one could be that they’re like a stereotypical hippie. Very protective and favorable of love and peace over war. Maybe they also have a love for organic life too, and strive to protect it from harm. And above all they love the idea of gemkind being free to do what they want and not have to fit into the roles they were made for- supportive of gem civil rights and gems following their individuality. They could also be very selfless in their attempts to help others.
Another potential personality they could have are that they are gentle, protective, and loving towards others. They might follow the flow of life, while doing their best to help others from the goodness in their heart. They could be described as a ‘gentle soul’ who tries to do no wrong.
And as a third possibility, they could instead be a hardy gem with a positive and sunny personality. They could be open-minded and trust, while still remaining a gem that you don’t wish to mess with too much. Diopside could also be a fan of being outdoors or away from gem civilization while doing whatever, as it lets them think about life and the world.
You can also just take inspiration from those three suggestions and combine bits and pieces of each together!
Now, for abilities, here’s a some possible suggestions based on above.
Replication, from the Greek origin of Diopside’s name- which means “twice face.” It could be a nice play on that by giving diopside the ability to replicate theirself.
Healing, possibly via plants or natural energies.
Plant Manipulation
Chlorokinetic Constructs
Natural Energy Manipulation
Animal Imitation
Plant Mimicry
Ecokinetic Invisibility
Earth Mimicry
Ecological Empathy
Terrain Manipulation
Weather Manipulation
Plant Teleportation
Organic Exoskeleton
(also, fun fact. White Diopside can be fluorescent, if that helps your creative processes any for abilities.)
For weapons, I’d suggest maybe throwing weapons or something simple, like a bow and arrows, an atlatl, darts, a spear, a staff, a sickle, or a sling. You could also go for something like a mace or axe for a heftier weapon.
Happy to help! ^^

Could you imagine the conbersations between Ratbag and Torvin? Holy crap that would've been comedy gold.
holy fuck
Every time I think of who could play a live-action Jonathan Crane, my first casting choice is Tom Cavanagh.
Oooh, I recognize this one! I’m pretty sure was in Scrubs. I think he looks a tad too handsome to play Crane though. I saw a photo of him with glasses and he kinda looks like this old teacher I had, and everyone flirted with that guy. Buuut if that’s who you see as Crane, then don’t let me stop you ;) Everyone has their own idea of what he should look like anyway.
I'm fascinated by your answers, so allow me to intrude once more. Do you have any headcanons about the Keeny family in particular?
I’m sorry it took me a bit to answer this, I had to think about it! I’ve never really written about any other Keeny family member than Granny Keeny (most of my Scarecrow stories are heavily inspired by the Scarecrow: Year One graphic novel), but I do have a few headcanons for her:
Because of her overzealous and domineering religious views, Granny Keeny forbade mirrors from being displayed in Keeny Manor; she believed that owning mirrors directly led to the idle sins of vanity and pride, and the only way to avoid those sins was to never lay eyes on one’s own reflection.
Although the Keeny fortune had drained away into poverty long before Jonathan was born and their home was dilapidated beyond any hope of repair, Granny Keeny still managed to hold onto a relic from her once-illustrious past: a white porcelain tea set, adorned with a gold trim and delicate pink floral pattern. It was by far the finest item in the entire manor, and she treasured it with more care than she ever bestowed onto Crane; as a child, Jonathan would sometimes entertain fantasies where he smashed the tea set in front of her as revenge for the many cruelties she inflicted onto him over the years.
Crane murdered his great-grandmother the following night after his high school graduation by smothering her with a pillow, then wrapped her body in a blanket and buried her in the same garden he’d harvested during his childhood. He departed on a bus bound for Gotham City shortly afterwards, and while rumors spread throughout small-town Arlen nobody cared enough to look for either Jonathan Crane or Granny Keeny, allowing him to effectively get away with murder.
Every toxin-induced hallucination Crane suffers features an allusion to his fear of his great-grandmother, either through visions of her skeletal remains or symbolic items like crow feathers.
Somewhat related, but a Nolanverse fan wiki actually used some tidbits from my Scarecrow origin fic on their pages for Granny Keeny and Crane. :D
Do you have any Mama Cee headcanons, by any chance?
Always loving to write about Mama Cee. Mama Cee headcanons you shall have!
Arcee at first seems the most disinterested of having anything to do with Jack or other kids - but as we observe, she is very caring and protective - and these are children of completely another alien species. Nothing speaks of more mama instincts than literally getting attached to them even when trying to struggle against it to then looking after them to feeling awful about thought of separating.
Mama Cee attitude applies also to mechanisms younger than her. She wants to ensure they are the best of themselves - not to repeat same mistakes as she did. Old Cee literally adopts all the troublemakers who lacked boundaries or are struggling. (Jet twins were the cutest addition haha) It's a tough job to be a parental figure, but she believes everyone deserves a home. Everyone deserves a chance.
Cee also wants a home for herself. She had a good home back in the days. Huge family unit with lot of examples what it is to love and offer protective environment. Losing traumatized her, but nowadays she wants to live in a family unit with more than one bot. Over time in service, her attempts to live as a lone wolf, she realized it's not for her. She would love to share her life with someone, and then have either mutually achieved or adopted additions to the family.
As much as she encourages more shy and hesitant young ones to find independence and their own way of doing things. Her way of 'parenting' others is believing in rules and boundaries. Boundaries are love, she thinks, and boundaries are to be followed. Else, they get good old talk. She doesn't want kids and the young to drift too far from what is acceptable or get in troubles or life danger for lacking experience - for example, she does admire Miko's bravery and excitement, but she also believes kids like Miko need an adult who stands for them, is someone to show vulnerability or turn to when their own capacity is not enough to handle or make it through a problem.
So when 343i says 'spiritual reboot,' it makes me worried because I have no idea what they mean when they say that.
I’m not sure either. But I hope what it means is: “We fucked up big time with Halo 5 and made a mess we couldn’t fix so now we’re just shoving the problem aside and starting over.”
