On this day 20 years ago, I was still in elementary school, starting the 5th grade when the world stood still…back then I didn’t understand what was going on at the time until I came home and saw the dreadful and awful sight on tv; 2 planes crashing into the Twin Towers in New York City…a plane crashing into the Pentagon in DC, and a plane crashing into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Many lives were lost that tragic day; 3,000 people had died in the attack…my heart still breaks for their families today.
