#9 - Segmented
Some insect historians say that the less humanoid of our buggy neighbours are direct descendants from prehistoric bugfolk. Though a divided view, there is an inextricable link between these critters and the behemoths that roamed the land a few million years ago. Traditional monster movies, such as Omukade and Cats draw inspiration from these giant beings, but with a generous pinch of salt as the existence of feline life has yet to be scientifically proven.
#5 Perseverance
Perseverance can come in many forms, whether it be clinging to a mountainside or just bearing the last 3 hours before your shift ends. Both are just as important in the grand scheme of things. Self care is vital to survival, especially on a cold evening, wrapped in your favorite blanket, with a mug of something warm. Stay cosy, friends <3
#2 Pungent
Citronella. A small amount can be a good thing (especially if you're an ant).
#6 - Clear
This month's Clik magazine features an exclusive interview with rising couture star, Glass. Having featured in Morpho City's Fashion Week and The Canopy's Moonlight Gala, this arachnid has caught everyone's attention in her achingly stylish web.

Study of prehistoric bug citizen within fossilised Tree resin, aka Ambre: Day 536, 4:56am
A remarkable change in the study occurred sometime early morning prior 4:56am. Exact time to be confirmed.
Subject 'Ambre' showed elevated brain function the evening prior (7:32pm, 18/6/XX), no cause for concern yet rose curiosity within those working close to them.
Dr Gris was assigned overnight monitoring yet was absent during the initial fissure on a bathroom break. Upon returning (4:23am) the resin had begun to crack in multiple places, the overall 'hatching' of the resin taking approximately 15 minutes.
Dr Gris is currently awaiting a disciplinary for acting beyond protocol, their only comment on the affair was, 'They'd been asleep for years. Anyone would be scared shitless waking up in a weird room completely alone. I wanted to show them they had nothing to be afraid of. No regrets.'
The tree resin study has therefore progressed faster than expected to stage 5, language experts and historians to be brought in to hopefully converse with Ambre.
(Sequel to a previous Septembug prompt that never got posted):
#3 - Circular
The Ladybird fields have been an agricultural staple within insect society, particularly with Queen Mimi rising to the throne. Leading a reign than many bugs could call controversial, it is clear that her actions are for the benefit of her kingdom. Her prioritising her people's welfare over the booming profits of their farmland has drawn much disagreement, and many to stand against her. However, one with such drive and determination is unlikely to back down so easily. The Lady Bug airs next Friday at 9, only on Bumble Bee Cee.
#8 - Shell
Not all bugfolk are humanoid, some are just little guys! Though little, they should be respected as any other bug. They don't like being looked down upon just because of their size!
