❛ No one ever really gets used to nightmares. ❜
BOOK STARTERS - Accepting.
Merlin was silent, regarding the girl with a blank face. Eyes betraying her curiosity, a few beats of silence pass, before the magician clears her throat.
“ You speak the truth. Nightmares are not unlike a plague; twisting reality, revealing the secrets you are so desperate to hide, reminding one of their mistakes. Perhaps that is why some develop insomnia - better to push their bodies to the limit then allow themselves to be tormented in dreams. “
How ironic, she muses. For someone who devours dreams to be speaking of such things.
Pausing, Merlin takes a small sip of her tea, eyes never straying from the others face.
“ You speak with wisdom beyond your years, little miss. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name? “
