— knock knock (sera&seulgi)
Hearing the soft swinging of doors and occasional thuds and bumps in the apartment complex was normal, as it was the sign of all the other living inhabitants, well, living. And with all the shit that the woman has been through in her life, she’s surprised to maintain as much as her hearing as she has for it be so sensitive—but perhaps it isn’t as perfect as she wishes it to be, because she’s jumping up at the thought of hearing signs of life next door. Is she finally home? the question arises immediately, arousing the small sense of worry and curiosity that had formed in the assassin’s mind; perhaps it was more curiosity, but she did truly wonder where her neighbour had been, or if she was ever going to come home. (but then again, with as much chaos as the city was in with a serial killer on the loose, and the important role she played...she could see why she had become rare to find). But she was terribly bored without her normal, citizen companion that lived just steps away from her—as well as one of the only humans she had ever trusted to swap keys with.Just in case anything happened to one another in their own homes, or if someone lost their own key. Or if Seulgi ever turned up dead, there’d be someone to have the key to her home, to all the little secrets of her life if uncovered properly. It was meant for a little precaution, a back-up, but she could see it as a sign of trust...and also as a means to be the playfully surprising neighbour she had built herself up to be. If Sera was home, she wouldn’t need the key, but she grabbed it anyways, just in case, before practically dashing out of her own living space. A hand moved to the door to turn the knob. It was indeed locked, but then again, if she was home, the door would have been locked behind her, wouldn’t it? Seulgi could knock, wait for an answer...but she decided to let herself in, slipping the key into the lock and turning it, entering with a curious gaze sweeping over the sadly (and a bit surprisingly) still empty apartment. The small smile that had formed on her lips quickly turned into a disappointed frown, almost pouting over her discovery. She had probably heard something from elsewhere in the building then. But why turn back when she could wait? It had been days, and she was bound and determined at this point to verify that her darling little neighbour was still in one piece. And so she set off on her next mission: locking the door behind her, slipping her shoes off and making herself at home—in Sera’s apartment. This also lead Seulgi to rummage through the kitchen, her stomach now making noise and taking precedence after realization of the continued absence of the other woman had settled. She could make dinner for the two of them, and hope that she would be home soon enough. It’d be a surprise still then, wouldn’t it?
