     this was just about one of the worst decisions she could’ve made, honestly. falling for the other was dangerous on levels she couldn’t even easily understand. if anyone found out they were really together, if they figured out it was more than just a crush she was making googly eyes at constantly, they both could lose their jobs. but despite knowing the hard truth, she was still there, half-naked and curled into bed sheets with them right beside her. ‘ c’mon, just stay up, who cares if we’ve got work early tomorrow ? ’

‘ why does it matter if i’m dating someone anyway ? ’  charlie asked, eyebrows furrowing slightly. ‘ or not dating someone, for that matter, ’  he tacked on, a frown forming on his face. the whole lack of relationship doesn’t bother him really, it’s the fact that it seems to bother everyone else that really gets to him. he doesn’t really give the other male much chance to answer, quickly firing in to the next part of his speech. ‘ i could totally get someone to go out with me if i wanted to, y’know ?  i’m just not looking for anything serious, is that such a bad thing ? ’

emma was finishing up her routine for the night, she’d made a couple of changes and it was almost ready for recital, she just wanted to show it to lyzie first. so, she sent her a text and asked her to come down to the studio. she was going to show her the routine first, but then she had another plan in mind, a surprise.

she wasn’t exactly sure how long she’d been outside the dance studio, all she really knew was that she’d just watched the sun rise, so mrs. perez should be coming to open the door soon. her side hurt, she knew that. she was sure if she looked there would be a big bruise, so she didn’t. she was so cold that she couldn’t really feel her feet, or anything, for that matter. but, she kept waiting. it’d be over soon enough.
