there was something wrong ─ that much she knew. if not for the wave of dizziness that hit her again, then perhaps for the nausea she’d been experiencing, the mood swings and fatigue. at first the thought it was because of distance from the ocean, seeing as her usual visits hadn’t been quite as usual the last few weeks. but that wasn’t it. then, she thought maybe leonard had gotten to her like he’d gotten to grey. but if that was the case, she’d be powerless, and she wasn’t. she’d been trying to disguise it, not let anyone notice, but serena... serena knew her better than most. if her thoughts had been clearer ( or if she let her mind wander there ), maybe daniella would’ve had a perfect guess as to what was happening. maybe if she just took a few tests... shaking her head, her gaze landed on serena as she felt eyes on her. “before you ask, yes, i’m okay, little butterfly.” @sercnv

he’d been hesitant on his decision to come to wilshire, the idea of leaving the merprincess behind for the first time too unsettling for the warlock. how could he keep her safe if she was somewhere else? besides, her family was in wilshire, daniella included, all directly involved in the tensions. how long would it take for her to sneak her way here as well? he knew it wouldn’t be long at all, but he hadn’t expected it to be so fast. his eyes widened slightly as he spotted her, having to blink for a moment to make sure it was her. of course it was her. not in a million years would he have gotten her confused with someone else. there was a shake of his head as he approached, but a smile tugged at his lips still. “you shouldn’t be here.” markus said, sparing a glance at their surroundings to see if anyone was around. @sercnv

the first thought that crossed his mind after witnessing some... not quite alive people wander down the streets was serena. at first he thought he was seeing things, but he wasn’t the only one; now, the warlock had a feeling that leo was behind this new event in wilshire. the only thing he was sure of was that he had to get to serena. through a portal, he was out of his penthouse and on the streets in a second. a familiar lock of blonde hair made his heart skip a beat as he wasted no time in approaching her.  ❝ darling? ❞ he called out, hoping to catch her attention.  ❝ we should head back home. it isn’t safe out here. ❞ @sercnv

daniella wasn’t surprised when she found out serena was in wilshire. worried, definitely, but surprised? no. after staying hidden for so long, away from her loved ones, the least her sister could want was to reunite with them. besides, the older merprincess wouldn’t expect her to stay away while the ones she cared about walked into war. dani wouldn’t, in her place. still, she worried. she would always worry. approaching slowly, dani felt her heart tighten a bit at the sight of her. “you know,” she started, a smile on her lips. “you could have at least told me you were coming.” more so, markus should have told her, but she didn’t voice that thought. @sercnv
