Random thoughts about my characters of the day:
Seren and Tavia both have floofy hair. But where Tavia's hair is full of secrets, Seren's hair is full of worries.
Elisabeth's hair is not floofy but is full of the barely suppressed rage known to short people worldwide. Her brother Noah's hair is Like That because he's probably forgotten to brush it for 3 days straight and has a permanent cowlick...

I LIIIVE!! Ok seriously, sorry this has taken forever but these two buttheads weren’t cooperating very well for me for the longest time and then i got stuck on “ok but where is this going brain?” Anyway! I thought it’d be fun to see where that flashback scene you can see with Faust would have gone and this was the result :3 Thank you for asking!! <3

”Asra.“
"Seren.” Asra mimickedSeren’s tone, leaning toward her with a mischievous grin.
Serentried, and failed to hide a giggle. “Oh alright, alright.” She began to dig through the selection ofAsra had been trying to get her to choose from. “I’ll wear this one,okay?”
"Didyou actually decide on something?“
"Yes!”she replied with a pout, trying not to get tangled in the straps as she pulleda dress on over her head. "There, Ijust need a mask and I’ll be ready,“ she added as the material settledaround her calves in a softly shimmering wave of pale pink fabric shot withgold. She smiled triumphantly as sheemerged from the pile of garments, holding her arms out to do a littletwirl. "Well?” When Asra failed to respond immediately as hedrank in the sight of her, her face fell and she began to fret. “Is thisnot okay? You already vetoed what I waswearing and-”
Asra burstinto laughter, cutting her off. “You were wearing your regular clothes,Seren!”
"I likemy clothes,“ she mumbled, fidgetingwith the fabric of the skirt.
"So doI,” he replied, reaching to pull her into his arms. “But this is muchbetter for the masquerade. And it suits you.”
"You’vesaid that about everything!“
"Yes,but this is my favorite.” Asra nuzzled her neck. “It looks warm andsoft, like you.” Seren flushed,adding to the overall effect of glowing warmth, and she could feel Asra’s lipscurve into a smile. "Your breathingjust quickened. Have I upset you?“
"Nobut you are a horrible tease, you know that?” she replied, running a hand throughhis hair.
Asralaughed and straightened, resting his hands on Seren’s hips. “But, whatare you supposed to be, lovely as you are?”
Serensmiled. “Dawn,” she said, holding a mask shaped with rays like thesun to her face. “See? The color ofthis dress made me think of sunrise.” She twisted slightly, making the skirt flutter and shimmer form gold topink and back.
With anappreciative smile, Asra replied, “I do see. How lucky I am then, to havemy own Aurora here in my arms, lighting my days.”
"You’requite poetic today.“
"Whatcan I say? You bring it out in me.”
Blushing,Seren leaned in to kiss him on the cheek. “If that’s the case, I don’tsuppose you have any poetic suggestions on what to do with my hair? Or can wejust leave with it like it is?”
"Youshould leave it down, definitely. What’sa sunrise without some soft clouds?“
"Onlyif you’ll help me untangle it all later,” Seren sighed, removing the tiefrom her braid
Asra helpedslowly comb out her braid, lingering over the task in a way that made Serenfidget. "Or, I suppose, we couldstay a little longer and I could kiss you instead?“
"Afterall this fuss?” Seren laughed softly, but snuggled more closely againsthim. "I’d like that.“

(i wasn't sure what to call the ask meme so just have the full questions here haha woops)
Ummm I missed these somehow? And I’m trying to answer on my phone so sorry for the typos. And thank you for asking! :DAnywho!How does Seren handle Emotions? Not very fucking well. She does ok with positive emotions, like when she’s happy it’s really just a feeling of utter contentment and giggles and sunshine, but she’s also easily flustered so ends up blushing a lot, if says someone points out she’s smiling to herself. She doesn’t like to have her emotions or reactions pointed out or observed, which affects how she handles negative emotions: she tends to withdraw from people and bottles her emotions up, until she’s alone or until they overwhelm her and she ends up crying and upset over something small and seemingly trivial. Her reaction to bad things is to cry basically. To cry and to try to pull away and hide to protect herself.
Does she like Vesuvia? Yes, she likes living in vesuvia, at least for its climate. But I also don’t think she grew up far from it so it’s what she’s used to. She prefers warm dry weather, though she likes the occasional rainy days as well. I’m not sure where she’d move to if she had the choice, except somewhere quieter, smaller and less full of people.

3: What my muse is like when they’re sad.
Seren is generally pretty self contained with her emotions: she’s not very overtly expressive as it is, but when she’s sad she’s much quieter and more introspective. She has a tendency to pull away from people and go off on her own, where she’ll likely curl up, preferably wrapped in a blanket or oversized sweater or something comfy. If she cries, she does so quietly and only if no one else is around because she doesn’t want to bother them/ is embarrassed
9: What my muse does when they’re alone.
Seren likes to read or practice her lyre. She also takes alone time as a chance to get a lot of spinning done and experiments with dye colors (and other potions tbh. Assuming she’s not out with Asra, Faust is usually watching these kinds of things with great interest, until something goes wrong and either ends up smelling AWFUL or Seren accidentally burns something, and then she slithers off for a nap or to find Asra because Seren is making a mess of the kitchen). Seren also has a lot of terrariums, so she spends some time tending to those- rehoming the plants, watering them, changing out the decorations in the containers and rearranging them around the shop. She likes to collect colored glass containers for them because when the sun shines through them it casts colored light around the shop
17: My muse’s idea of a perfect date.
Honestly, Seren would like nothing more than a quiet day at home, with the exception of going to the market maybe for some pumpkin bread, or on a walk to collect more materials for the shop (and hopefully a picnic). She doesn’t like crowds, so anything to loud and too busy would make her uncomfortable, but going out and doing quiet things together, and then going home to the shop for some tea and snuggles would be a really lovely day in her eyes.

I mean Seren is either wearing wrinkled af clothing from the day before with her hair an absolute fucking mess, or some combination- like she’s wearing just her tunic and underwear or something. Which means her internal dialogue is torn between Yay Asra is back and omg i am standing on the balcony, in front of the countess, the guards and the chamberlain, in my underwear i can never come back from this i must change my identity and fake my death immediately
