Happy STS from writingamongthecoloredroses! What animal would be your OC(s) familiar if they had to choose?

Happy very late STS to you too @writingamongthecoloredroses! It is a very interesting question because the characters’ view of themselves/personality would eventually guide their choice. I’ll try to be brief about it, but knowing me we’re here for antoher 500 words essay, 

Cassandra: she would choose a bear. Cute and dangerous? It’s her dream goal. 

Alexandre: he thinks a dog represent quite well who he wants to be. 

Camilla: before the novel, she would randomly choose the swan. But she would soon change after the first events and would find a certain affection for an axolotl

Serena: a bird, definitely! Maybe a swallow, or another migratory bird who would come home when she didn’t. 

Charlotte: okay so my girl Charlotte would have a hard time with this question, because she doesn’t understand the purpose of an eventual familiar (she can protect herself, thank you very much) and doesn’t see the difference with a pet (she loves them all, so what is so special about a familiar?). She would finally choose a snow panther.

Camilla is kind of a jack of all trades: she tries at least once to do something. After the burning of the dance studio, she finds herself doing more and more pottery. She's getting pretty good at it, and tries to do it ina style that resemble her vietnamese heritage.

Serena knows how to knit. Learned it from her parents who learned it themselves from their own parents. It was seen as very important in he community, even if at the time she learned, she didn't see the point. Now that she is an adult who lives in Delmain, which is at a pretty high altitude, she recognizes that it is handy. Whereas she is good at it, there is no consensus but it brings her peace of mind and it's the most important.

Happy STS from writingamongthecoloredroses! What are the sleep habits of your OC?

Hi @writingamongthecoloredroses and sorry for the late answer. I’ll be answering for the OCs of dance of thorns, since I already answer something similar for melody of violets’s here. 

Alexandre doesn’t sleep very well. He tries to, but he has so much on his mind and on his heart that he only goes to sleep very late and even then, he often stares at the blank ceiling. And it’s becoming harder and harder to get out of bed.

Cassandra is a light sleeper. When her little siblings cried at night, she was the one to wake up to take care of them, mainly because she wanted Alexandre to have the most sleep he can. She tries to have a healthy sleep schedule, but she’s starting to have nightmares

Serena has the habit to fall alseep anywhere, anytime. Maybe because she’s so tired all the time she can just shutdown when she feels safe. Her own agenda makes her not sleep a lot, and she tries to catch up with naps whenever she can.
