RIGHT??? it makes it feel like their feelings for the other person were in-genuine, if they were always slightly pining after someone else. like just because you decided to not be shitty people and leave them for their best friend (or try to steal their significant other), you couldn’t have actually really loved them if there was always something for that other person. and idk i just end up feeling really badly for the deceased member of the equation
