fave ship: NORIKO AND IZARKS RELATIONSHIP IS JUST. CHEFS KISS. SO GOOD. THE WAY THEY UPLIFT AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER AT ALL TIMES. THE SHEER ROMANCE AND DEPTH OF THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. THE WAY IZARK WILL DROP LITERALLY EVERYTHING TO GO TO NORIKO IF SHE EVEN THINKS ABOUT HIM. THE WAY THAT NORIKO TAUGHT IZARK THAT HE IS INHERENTLY WORTH LOVING DESPITE WHAT HE HAD ALWAYS BEEN TOLD HIS WHOLE LIFE. THE WAY THAT IZARK LEARNS TO SHOW HIS LOVE WHOLE HEARTEDLY JUST SO HE COULD BE WITH NORIKO WITHOUT HURTING HER. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PEAK ROMANCE.

least fave ship: there legitimately is no other romance in this whole manga its all about noriko and izark babeyyyyyy

favorite moment: oh my god there are. SOOOOOOO many. barago giving geena his flower crown but its too big so it slides down onto her neck. agol being super petty at all times. noriko when she first decided to learn the language. when izark finally tells noriko that he loves her and begs her not to leave him after she relalized that she as the awakening is destined to turn izark into the sky demon and so she wants to leave izark to avoid putting him through that torment but izark is just like "no dont leave me not having you here with me would be far more painful" and AHHHHHHHHHHHH. izark teasing noriko about rainbows. the villagers getting increasingly carried away with gossiping about izark noriko and doros. every time alef shows up bc hes so suave and also sexy.

rating out of ten: 10 🥺🥺🥺 i have absolutely no shame in saying it is probably my favorite shoujo manga of all time and its like a sleeper agent where i reread it once or twice a year and in between those rereads i barely think about it but when it comes time its like. all i can think about for a bit bc noriko and izark INVENTED true love okay?!?!?! they did!!!!!!!
