So life seriously needs to hurry up. I'm planning months in advance for everything and now time wants to slow down -.-
Time Magazine has THE WORST movie taste.
okay, not the WORST (that prize goes to the one soulless bastard who gave Toy Story 3 a bad review, thus keeping it from its well deserved 100% on the tomato meter on Rottentomatoes). Or even the most confusing. no, they fall into that one illustrious category that I lovingly dub "complete fucking snob". you know the guys, the ones that are convinced that aside from Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction, people just stopped making movies past the 80's, the obnoxiously predictable movie choices ("well, MY favorite movie is Citizen Kane, I don't know what YOU uncultured swine watch."), and the complete obliviousness to today's film types and styles (like that parent that just started listening to those soundtracks you liked two years ago, and now they're ALWAYS quoting it). I swear to god, on their list of the best films of ALL TIME, only about thirty percent were released past the sixties. Don't get me wrong, I love those movies. This is the guy who's favorite drama film is Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and thinks the classiest, most beautiful woman of film and music is Audrey Hepburn. but really, you have to wonder how in touch with today these critics are when NONE of their best film soundtracks are John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Clint Mansell, or ANYONE revolutionary in the field besides Ennio Morricone and Bernard Hermaan and one of the guilty pleasure listed on the guilty pleasure list is GONE WITH THE WIND
