Haishionā was killed by Henor when Jue was ~1 to ensure Jue’s future, because if Haishionā had another child they would likely replace Jue as heir due to Jue’s disability (and might not even be Henor’s, since she was also married to Serip). Henor was executed for killing Haishionā. Serip died a year or two later, possibly of natural illness and possibly of slow poisoning by Raiqiongshē to consolidate power (Jue will say it was illness because Raiqiongshē would never have done that to Jue’s father, and Halek will say it was poisoning because that’s what royalty does, and since the true answer isn’t relevant it doesn’t get revealed either way)
