@morganaux you said you wanted to talk about what happened and figure out what went wrong and 'where we stand' -and then kicked and blocked me while I was disengaging to try to avoid a mental breakdown. So I guess in lieu of that, have this (linked) letter.

I had wanted to go about this calmly because no, I DON'T want to believe that you intended to hurt or manipulate people, and I legitimately did want to get your side and remain friends. But you have made having any form of civil conversation impossible.

Unlike some involved, I don't want to muddle fact and fiction when discussing sensitive topics so this thread will be dedicated to discussing what is untrue or misleading, focusing on what most people don't know about @morganaux; including his claims and accusations, his mis-remembering of events and the web of lies he hides behind.

For a basis I would like to outline a few of his habits to keep in mind when reading through the following posts:

He withholds information he feels will work counter to his input or fail to gain the response he desires from others.

He varies his tone depending on the subject or who his intended audience is.

He has no qualms about telling 'white lies' as long as he doesn't suspect he will be caught.

He will eagerly outright lie behind people's backs or ascribe blame if (a) he thinks people will believe him, (b) he thinks the person he is lying about won't find out, and (c) he will gain sympathy or any other secondary 'benefit.'

His response to being caught in a lie is to defer blame or to claim he didn't know better (even when that is provably false).

He withdraws from any situation he can't "win", pushes anyone not "on his side" away and begins the cycle anew by slandering those who question or confront him.

His victimhood status is deeply important to him, if anyone speaks out; they are the aggressors. If anyone points out his statements are contradictory, it is someone else who changed their story or their mind- not him.

With all of this in mind, let's attempt to sift through this mess and separate the truth from lies.

Of course the loss of knowledge was hard to adjust to. Elouan’s hobby involved reading and otherwise expanding his own knowledge of the realm. To infiltrate a late library, renowned for its relics and tomes housed within its haunted halls? He’s both honored with the task and worried all the same. As the demon fell below and more lurked in the upcoming halls, he knew that their time here was limited. Elouan returned his gaze from the dark depths surrounding them to the former Ishgardian knight. One of Thordan’s Ward, no less.

Sore muscles and fatigued lungs were replenished by the small utterance of Noudenet’s, fueling the paladin’s energy for the rest of their trek. He bowed his head whilst taking a slow breath. Breathing grew easier under the steady flow of aether reducing the heavy soreness of his arms and legs. While not scarred nor gored, he had quite the weight to throw around and dodge the varying attacks at his life.

Ser Noudenet’s healing was welcomed, while unexpected. “I understand the preservation of texts, but we must focus on those upon the shelves rather than those attacking. I am much better now, thank you. I hadn’t realized how sore reading can make me,” he chuckled breathlessly, helping Noudenet up as the ebbing flow of aether finished its task.

He had only himself to blame? Noudenet couldn’t help but wince at the bluntness of Lucien’s words, although it wasn’t exactly something he could argue with, given the way he had been living after all that had happened. But, any signs of discomfort were quickly hidden away with a nod and a half-smile. Why bother dwelling on such a depressing subject when he was in good company? It was silly of him, bringing it up in the first place, and it was definitely time to change the subject to something that wasn’t so petty.

“I suppose you have a valid point there, and I thank you for not sugar-coating it,” he spoke quietly, his gaze falling upon the concoction the other Elezen had been working on– Now, that was a far more worthy subject of conversation than any of his frivolous personal issues. “I do hope I am not being too much of a distraction, but would you care to tell me what that is going to be for?”

Lucien snorted. “Sugar coating is for sweets, not truths.” Nevertheless, he was perfectly content to allow the subject to drop, and turn to more fruitful matters. He did not answer immediately, giving his full attention to the careful addition of a single drop of a viscous, clear liquid. Once added, the potion gave a brief hiss, and turned a brilliant lime green. 

“You will recall my comments of working with the tears shed by the local fopers, and their prospective uses in substitution within tinctures requiring deepeye tears, I trust? This is the practical test of just such a theory. If my calculations and theoretical aetherochemistry are sound, what I should have here once all is said and done is a vial of eye drops of much increased potency to the normal found on any old alchemist’s shelves. While I would not be so bold as to propose it might be a cure for the blind, I am confident that it will lead to a much more broadly available treatment for cataracts in the elderly, at the very least.”

Please take a moment of you time to read this missive very carefully.

As all of us within are aware of your hobby and certainly would not get in the way of any research, however complaints were made concerning a newly-spotted vodoriga roaming the halls.

In my position on Very Reverend Archimandrite, all of those complaints were forwarded to me, and as such I will adress this as a plurality.We implore you to ask of him if he may possibly be inclined to stop telling lewd jokes about Halone. Voidsent humour is quite odd.
