Even though his ear was buzzing and his head pounding, Zephirin could tell the pain had very likely rendered Janlenoux delirious.
Where they had fallen, be it a cavern or crevice, it was cold... colder than the icy peaks of Coerthas, this was for sure. The lands of Eureka were treacherous, with many beasts and monsters, and yet it was the terrain that swallowed them as they were battling a fierce entity.
They had the wounds of the fight to deal with as well as the biting frost that threatened to eventually deprive them of any feeling, and he knew Janlenoux, even after regaining consciousness, was not faring as well as he hoped he might.
His whole ear had been ripped off, and with Janlenoux’s own linkpearl having been knocked off in their fall as well, the methods of calling for help were likely very few.
Perhaps Janlenoux being delirious was a good thing, and he could not find the heart to push him away when he began kissing him.

It would be fine, wouldn’t it? The people at Northpoint may yet find them, after not seeing them come back, or getting news. A search would be launched, as they has assured them before the expedition began.
There was very little way for him to tell time, and so he got worried when Janlenoux went still and silent, but he was still breathing, so likely he merely had fallen asleep.
Alone with his thoughts, all he could ponder was just what Haumeric would say to him. Grinnaux did warn him... so perhaps, perhaps he should ahve let himself get knocked out after all...?
Time ceases to have any meaning at some point, and he struggles to remain awake.

wizards have incredibly strong legs from going up and down the wizard tower all day and night. you're gonna wish you got fireblasted if a wizard ever kicks you. if a wizard ever kicks you in the chest you're gonna be a head and legs for the rest of your life.
