Space Date 2.0
You know how Space Date sucked? Well, I fixed it! WITH JERRY!
Serriel!
one of my characters (well actually more than one of them) in one of my original stories is most definitely genderfluid, and so I never know which pronouns to use, because generally they prefer 'he' but if I'm talking about a part of the story when they are presenting as female then they prefer 'she' in the actual story it's obviously not a problem, but if I'm just, say, writing a blog post then it's hard to decide which to use. Tselel is easier because they prefer to not be associated with either gender, so it's always just 'they,' but Serriel is trickier. At first he's very firmly male, but that changes over time, and I have yet to nail down an exact time frame for everything, so I'm never quite sure. Serriel (due to cool angel powers) can also change physical sex, and thinks of himself as a man when he is physically male, and thinks of herself as a women when she is physically female, so in a way Serriel is still cisgendered I would say. but I'm always worried about using terms incorrectly >_< I'm also not sure if the being able to change sex physically is a trait all angels have or just some. And I know Tselel isn't the only angel who prefers to not be gendered. I think Eiveleth, even if she could change physical sexes (which I don't think she can) would always consider herself a woman. I think Petsaiel also would always consider himself a man regardless of physical sex as well, but I think he'd be less firm about it than Eiveleth. Eiveleth is really into not being angel like, even though she's not particularly fond of humans. It's much more common for angels to only use genders when in physical form, if only because it's easier to have dealings with humans that way. Aebriel also prefers to be thought of as a woman, she grew up before gender was even a thing though, so she is also less firm about it I think. Though since she's stuck sharing (sort of) a body with a human girl, who is definitely cisgendered, I think that makes her lean more towards always thinking of herself as female. ok I'm done now or else I'll ramble on about this for ages probably
