Alright so uh brazilian translation anon here...
I have a little problem! In portuguese we split the verb "to be" into two: one that indicates permanent state versus temporary state, and that causes quite a bit of trouble. Would you be open to dms so i can get help clarifying the meaning of some passages and stuff?

To your first question, yes, and you were meant to find out in the last chapter, but it just didn't fit with the flow and thus messed with chapter pacing. It should be in the next chapter; if not, then the following. It has to happen before... well :3c Something that has been planned for a while.
Dust's... I'm not going to call that guy a Dadster. That... would be wrong. His Gaster... So I have a scene written out. This was back when HNBD was just going to be a series of one-offs before I decided on a chapter fic. In that scene, Nightmare learns all about that Gaster... Now, many of the scenes I wrote that were going to be one-offs have been added or will be, but that one I am debating. It seems like a side plot that isn't needed. And yet, it fits the theme of the fic. So, in HNBD, it might be revealed or left to the reader's interpretation.
That said, you can learn about him in GoopTales! Unlike HNBD, I did... "accidentally" knock over a bottle of ship glitter between Nightmare and Lyra that got all over it. And we all know how glitter is. Still, the main focus is between Nightmare and his boys and... yeah. How their Gasters were in HNBD is how the guys remember them when turned back into kids.

I am no professional translator but i am fluent and i love this fic so much id just be happy for it to reach more people, especially some people from my country who cant speak english!
Absolutely, go for it! This goes for anyone; if you think others would like to read it in a language you believe you can translate it to, then go for it. I just have two points I would like to make:

Don't be afraid to adjust puns/jokes that might not translate well. I say this because one of my favorite anime is Cromartie High School, but I can only watch the dub. For the most part, everything is the same, but cultural jokes and puns are adjusted in the dub so I can find humor without needing an explanation, making the show hilarious. (Jokes lose their humor if you have to explain them.)

Happy you enjoy the fic! And yes, I have one of these, though I do not use it very often. I was for Soriel week, though that has ended, and I'll be less active on here again. Yes! The only way a fic will be 'discontinued' by me is if something major happens that makes me unable to write. Even some of my old fics that I haven't updated in years, I see as on hiatus versus discontinued.

A few words before concluding Soriel Week seem like a better way to close things out. More in the words of a fan and witness to some situations.
I'd like to share with you what Sorel is to me. And to me, it's everything. It's magical, as I mentioned, but above all, versatile. With the latter, I mean that you can be friends, comedy partners, romantic or platonic partners, and still retain your essence in all its splendor. Because, genuinely, it doesn't matter what you are at the end of the day, whether or not Soriel is canon, but that you are mutually happy and that your coexistence lasts as long as it has to, but with beautiful memories <3
Imagine... that from one day to the next, by chance, two monsters sit alone, afraid, unable to figure out what the future holds but determined to move forward, and when one of the two comes into their lives, loneliness is no longer so present. Because yes, you may be at the exit to Snowdin or at the entrance to the ruins, both very lonely environments in themselves. But the mere presence of one is enough to feel full, and that's beautiful! And when they met? Uff, it's a feeling that only the two of them could describe to you, but from my eyes? It was as if the thread of life connected them and little by little led them to a magical meeting point.
Something simple and genuine, like the saying "If they are happy, I will be happy for them too."
And sometimes when I see so much hate, I wonder why? And no, I don't mean that you can't like said ship. In fact, that's fine! Because it's good to be honest, but what isn't good is going to the point of insulting others, of saying things about the characters involved that have nothing to do with each other, etc. etc.
Ten years have passed, and I sincerely trust that we can be mature and respect the tastes of others, in this case Soriel's. The joke of this ship is that one likes to see them together, their dynamic presented in the game. And yes, I recognize that even Soriel's side has its issues. There are no saints when it comes to ships, and personally, I can't see those kinds of people as genuine fans, because attacking, insulting, and being rude gets us nowhere. HOWEVER, we can and they can change.
So, and as a way to close, as a crazy fan of this ship since it first flourished, let's make a change, shake hands 🤝 and close the cycle by respecting in this case the people who like Soriel, because I also speak for those people who get upset or uncomfortable when their tastes are criticized and I also speak for this beautiful community that people who do not behave well do not represent us. Life is not about encompassing an entire community, but rather, being aware that X individual is not being respectful and if they do not behave properly, you should not let yourself fall, because that is what is sought, for you to fall into tears and feel that the environment is not healthy.
So, with all the hugs, I sincerely hope that we achieve this change 🫂💜💙
