Hello. Today, Eric will be at a meeting at a meeting until tonight, so I am free to do whatever I want this afternoon (he usually gets home around 3). As usual, I should be doing homework and reading until my eyes can’t see. But since I have ‘off’ from the park and Eric will not be home, I will probably have some wine and possibly ice cream.
Yesterday, I finished painting the stripes on the camper, yellow, green, and blue, all very brights which we did not anticipate or mean to do. However, we have gotten used to it and now kind of like it. We are planning on putting some kind of cactus on the side and back of the camper, but only time will tell with that situation. On the inside, I have just about finished repainting the cabinets. They are now yellow with a white trim. We repainted them because I painted the counter and table white so the very light pink cabinets seemed a little off. With the cabinets just yellow, the inside seemed just a little too ‘warm’ so we decided to add the white, which kinda tied things together.
The dog and her barking are driving me nuts listening to it all day. At the dog park this morning, some dog owners were talking about Pet Corrector (apparently a thing that spurts air at your dog to make them stop doing something?) so I think I may give it a try!
Our 13 foot rig! Yes, we all live in here full time. We have a blast and love it! Especially when we were decorating. When we bought this camper, it was all original, from 1981 and in good condition. We got so lucky! This camper saved us! We were living in New Jersey and wanted to move to the west and travel along the way... but heres the kicker.. before we bought it, we had NO IDEA where we were going to go! By buying this camper, we gained freedom to go wherever we want whenever! ... well kind-of. Eric has a job here in Northern California. So we are limited to our travel now, we mostly tent camp when we travel now because we like having the camper set up and not all packed away when traveling.
We would not be able to afford rent in this area so living in our awesome rig and me working as a camp host has been the best luck!
We call our beautiful tiny work in progress Aster. It took forever for us to agree on a name we liked for more than one day haha! Works out great for me because the Asteraceae family is the Sunflower/Daisy family and not only do I love sunflowers, I love the color yellow!
Currently, I am working on painting just about EVERYTHING!
