Dear Vector Prime, what happened to Wheeljack after the events of the Unicron Battles? Did he rejoin the Autobots or remain a Decepticon? What'd he get up to during the battle for energon and the hunt for the Cyber Keys?
Dear Wheeljack Wanderer,
Wheeljack underwent an extensive refit shortly after Galvatron sacrificed himself to destroy the planet-eater. For too long, he had held on to old grudges and nurtured old scars—but with the war seemingly behind them, Wheeljack was inspired to finally try and move on with his life and chart a new destiny for himself. Wheeljack found the courage to eliminate his old Autobot insignia and his Decepticon badge of allegiance—although he could not bring himself to return to the Autobots who had abandoned him, Wheeljack had lost his taste for vengeance and could no longer call himself a Decepticon.
Finally, Wheeljack left Cybertron entirely—he wanted to start anew somewhere else in the cosmos, and eventually settled on the archipelago world of Serton. There, he was able to make a living for himself as a mercenary and freelance peacekeeper by helping to defend its diminutive inhabitants from ravenous sea creatures and various extraplanetary threats.
