Free Minecraft Server Host?

I'm looking into making my own Minecraft Server. I've been trying to find a place to host this server but sadly right now I can't find any good free ones.. We plan on using a lot of mods, so we need something that runs smoothly, but also a host that will let us use any mods we want (unlike Aternos where you have to pick from a preslected mod list). I already have a list of mods downloaded that I want to use, so basically I just want to good host where I can put on these mods without issue and set up some data/resource packs, etc, and be good to go.

(I know it's a tall ask for something like this to be free, but Aternos just bothers me so much I lowkey hate using it-)

Hhhh I’m sorry I’m not very active here, instead more so on Discord. Which is why I’m announcing that I’m opening a public server soon! It’s partially roleplay, mostly hangout. I can’t spoiler much of it, but I can say that everyone will get a chance to join with their own unique roles!

I’m very excited about this server and I hope everyone who wants to join will enjoy it. Currently we are in need of some server builders, so I’m accepting people to join earlier than usual. If you want to apply just comment under the post.

does anyone know of any good free minecraft server hosting services that allow for the use of custom plugins? i figured that it would be best to ask real people when everything i saw on youtube was clickbait and everything on google wasn’t actually free or had some big flaw, such as “if you don’t renew your server every 72 hours IT WILL BE ERASED”
