3 awesome and creative things to do with Vinepeek
Hey peekers!
We've been really amazed at the response to Vinepeek Channels since launching it 3 weeks ago, and are continuously surprised at the innovative and creative ways that people are using it.
One of the main features of Vinepeek Channels is the ability to embed a channel into your own website and so far it's been used for events, parties and travel blogs.
Here are our top 3 favourite (and most creative) uses of Vinepeek so far:
1. Oxmo Puccino
Oxmo Puccino, the Mali-born French rapper, is using Vinepeek in a social media competition for fans to win VIP tickets and merchandise.
From Stephané Kouchian at TEAMS, an innovative digital agency in the music biz:
We made the website for Oxmo. Oxmo is an awarded french rapper. The campaign is a creative contest through Vine, instagram, Twitter, involving fans who can contribute by posting text, photos or a videos using the hashtag #oxmoparispaname in order to celebrate Paris.
Take a look - and if you'd like to win tickets to an Omxo gig then hashtag your next Vine, Tweet or Instagram with #OxmoParisPaname.
2. BMC and ServiceSphere at Pink13
Chris Dancy from ServiceSphere can personally take credit for the genesis of Vinepeek Channels.
Chris got it touch shortly after the launch of Vinepeek to say that he'd love a version of Vinepeek for the Pink13 ITSM conference he was attending on behalf of BMC Software.
Yay! We had our first customer, but the timescales were really short.
We first spoke with Chris about his requirements on 7 Feb and Pink13 started in Vegas on 16 Feb, giving us just 9 days to get the first version out and tested. Eek!
Because Vinepeek Channels was such a big departure from Vinepeek (despite its simple look, there's a lot going on under the hood) we kept the original look and feel and just focused on the channel.
We're really chuffed with how our first customer page looked, and Chris was too, saying:
I am so very proud of PXi and their team for creating something so revolutionary, and I very proud to be customer #1.
We're proud to be associated with Chris and ServiceSphere and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship. Chris's mantra is particularly apt for us and all tech businesses:
You're in IT, act like it.
3. RVSX
Philip Campbell created a Vinepeek Channel for his RV trip to SXSW '13.
Phil and a group of filmmakers and writers took an RV all the way from Chicago to Austin - taking Vines of their progress, travels and exploits along the way.
We love the concept of RXSW, particularly the Gonzo style of filmmaking that the combination of Vine & Vinepeek generates.
So there you have it! And remember, if you want to Vinepeek your own adventure then sign up here for a channel with a 30 day free trial.
