The Caterpillar has yet to be photographed.
The food plant is unknown.
This species has been found in New Guinea and Northern-QLD, Australia.

Peachtree Borer (Synanthedon exitiosa)
...a species of sesiid moth that occurs throughout eastern and central North America. Adults typically fly from May to September and likely feed on nectar. Peachtree Borer larvae will bore into and feed on Prunus perscia and other Rosaceae species. They are also known to be pests in orchards.
