My Caterpillar Collection

Currently studying a Bachelor of Science, looking to do a degree in Entomology in the future. Identifications are NOT by me, I wouldn't say I'm the best at identifying things. iNaturalist users are the source of IDs. Taxonomy is also taken from iNaturalist, may be incorrect, though the iNatrualist website seems to keep up-to-date with any taxonomic changes. Observations are typically seen in the Wet Tropics bioregion of Queensland, Australia. This region is small, but extremely biodiverse. *Some old observations were taken down south however. Dates are written day/month/year, standard in Australia.

Many small black beetles which were a common sight on this particular log. After flooding, I found them elsewhere under logs.

The flooding seems to have brought these ground / wood burrowing insects to the surface.
