"Demons, Dinner, and Crossbows: A Day in Vallaki"

After a thrilling battle with a demon and saving a child, the Stunorians found themselves in a series of peculiar events. They dined at the orphanage, witnessed a gravedigger's unease, and indulged in lively conversations at the Blue Water Inn. Their day continued with sword-fighting lessons, crossbow crafting, and exploring the University of Saint Andral. Join them on their intriguing journey through the outskirts of Vallaki.

This trek has been grueling, but it must be done. The ice was as powerful as any enemy, with

no chance of fighting back. Halfway through the trip to the City of Arcana, we met Yoshitaco,

a mountain elf who had lost his fish for his family. After promising to replenish his rations and then some, he led ua back to his village, City of the Mountain Elves. He was an excellent guide and we made it to a village that was still behind the times. In a "we are led by a parliament of hag witches and sacrifice a child every four years" kind of way. Gabidore decided he would try to court one of the hags, which I'll admit made me more repulsed than I have ever been, that I can recall. We left early the next day, setting course for the Pink City, one of our last stops on the path to our destination, the location of our mysterious author (or his last known whereabouts).

My beloved Ralokas

I cannot believe the shit we just walked into! I am outraged, and also getting a head of myself.

We came across another cave, no big deal. Inside was a man who was crying next to a dead giant of Harry elephant? I have never seen such a creature. Anyway after a little q and a we found out his name was yoshitaco, and this was his elephant thing. He was a few days outside of his home village, and he was expected to provide for his family. We offered him a ride back to the village, because it was on our way.

We passed a graveyard and it turns out, they believe spirits are there to guide the living. On the way to the village there was a dead guy in the road and yosh picked up and and had us haul him to the graveyard so he could bury him properly.

We made it to the village and boy was it wild. It was a witch coven and it stank of Evil. At first I refused to even go into the main building but as the day progressed we did go inside and have a few drinks. Gabidore bless his heart, he hit on some of the most hideous witches I’ve ever seen. He tried real hard to seduce them but they were having none of it.

We learned that a lot of the culture form the city of hope and surrounding areas was brought over form this side. We also learned this place is heckin evil! Every four years they hold some kind of games to choose a child sacrifice for their god. A CHILD SACRIFICE! The children are so happy to be doing something like this too! They are just so glad to wonder into the Forrest and get eaten.

I just don’t understand how someone could raise a child, put a lot of love and time into them just to let them get eaten.

If that was Alexander, I’d kill every man on earth before letting him be a sacrifice. I hope to be back with you soon but I’m starting to feel hopeless. Sorry to have missed the festivities in town but ya know only have like 6 months to stop a volcano and save the world. Wink wink.

The inaugural Session Series show

About-  A little background on myself before I go into what caused me to conceptualize "Session.16".

As an up and coming artist or band in New York City a lot of good comes with living in the media capital of the world. No offense to any middle American states but nobody travels to Iowa to get their foot in the door in the entertainment biz. Indeed the music scene in places like LA and NY are over saturated not only with natives from their home state but out-of-towners chasing the same dream. With this influx of talent there are bound to be culture vultures, unprofessional "professionals" who exploit artist and their art. I mean I know we're all trying to make a buck here but where are the folks who truly want to create something impactful and dope? Surely it isn't an oxymoron to mix business and honesty.

"Sometimes when you want something done right you gotta do it yourself"

And just because you do it yourself doesn't mean it has to only be for yourself. I thought to myself about the number of musicians who share the same plight; that is not being able to test their works on stage, in front of a live audience without the pressure of what seems like selling out Madison Square Garden. Playing the role of promoter can sometimes actually take away from playing the music. Enter the Session Series.

From June through September on 7 select nights the WeathermenUnderground will present to you a limited live series event emphasizing on the intimacy of 16 audience members in an off-Broadway/Jazz structure. As is with theatre all performances will mix improvisation within their musical sets. One of the main goals of Session.16 besides giving artist/bands an outlet to try material out in a live setting is to help musicians develop tools essential for a successful live performance while still getting the respect and attention they deserve. In turn the crowd in attendance will be treated to something not much different from the musical version of the Sundance Film Festival at no cost at all. Note:

This event is free but attendees must have passes and be on the guest list to be an audience member.
