People are always asking me “is that pattern painted onto your cello?” GOD NO. 😬 : My beautiful cello is patterned with birds eye maple, a natural “defect” in the wood. It doesn’t affect the sound, but it makes the wood extremely dense meaning it weighs a frickin ton. : I hope to massively upgrade my cello one day. This one is...pretty...but extremely hard work. She’s also still quite raw, given she’s barely 10 years old. : Still.
